Here is what our local media said:
Pitching his message to Oregon's environmentally-conscious voters, Obama called on the United States to "lead by example" on global warming, and develop new technologies at home which could be exported to developing countries.
and then they ran a video of him saying:
"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,".
Does this remind anyone else of Jimmy Carter in 1979?

Yes! Yes!! and Yes!!! ;-))
I remember watching Jimmah's speech from the Oval Office announcing the Windfall Profits Tax (which Nobama wants to revive in its entirety) and how the government couldn't sit idly by while the oil companies raked in all that profit...
And then I moved to California and watched first-hand as the oil tankers sat offshore, NOT unloading, and then the rationing and people taking vacation days to get gas...
This guy Nobama has learned nothing from the past and is hellbent to repeat it, only THIS time, the RIGHT people will be in charge...;-))

Obama called on the United States to "lead by example" We DO lead by example. Our country is so much cleaner, fresher, more concious of the environment than the majority of countries. My neck of the woods is testimony to that!
