Well, I’m back.
I went in at 7:45am and got injected with contrast for my bone scan. Then I went and had an EEG. They glued all these little electrodes to my head and then had me lay there and look at strobe light, then hyperventilate, then sleep. Amazingly, I was able to do all three.
Then, I went and had my bone scan. They scanned my whole body, then went back and scanned the area where I hurt.
Then, I went in for the MRI and MRA. I asked if the MRI was going to be with contrast and they said “No, it isn’t ordered that way.” So they did them. They pulled me out of the machine and told me not to move, the radiology tech needed to talk to the radiologist. So a few minutes later he comes in and says the radiologist thinks he sees something on the MRI and they want to get it done with contrast after all.
So that is what happened...they injected a contrast into my vein and he said that it would show a tumor by increased blood flow or an eschemic (dead) area by decreased blood flow. Then they put me back in the machine and the tech patted me on the arm...which I thought was nice.
They didn’t tell me anything...I wonder if it showed anything?
I’m going to call here in a bit to see if I can find out. Get them to fax me my reports.
All that and you didn’t get an oil change?
(we’re keeping you in our prayers, keep us posted)
Eek...
Well...in a way it'd be good if they do find something, but I'll be praying it's nothing serious! Keep us updated!
Evening 2J - hope all the tests turn out as you’d like them too. Seems like that battery of tests should turn up something.
I was without the use of my computer all evening, because I wanted Clare to show me how to transfer my music from my files to I-Tunes so I could put it on my iPod, that I got from Joseph. When we went to do that, we got a message about needing to install Service Pack 2. I guess I'd never done that, so we closed everything out, re-opened Windows, and started updating. It took forever!! We had to load Service Pack 2, then update everything related to that, THEN it wanted to load Service Pack 3, and everything related to that, and then Clare updated to the most recent versions of Windows Media Player, and Internet Explorer. She was up until 3am doing all that!
So my PC is all new and shiny this morning! We just got back from getting Joseph his meningitis vaccination, and we're taking him out to eat for lunch because he's officially GRADUATED!! WooHoo! My job is DONE!
