It's possibly a newer version than the rental car, depending on when they swap out their fleet.
I wuvs it so far. Nice amount of pep for a little car, all the doo-hickeys are in convenient places, and it's very easy to park and all. And yeah, the trunk is kind of amazing. ;-) The seats fold down, too, if I ever needed even more space. It also pretty consistently gets about 35 miles to the gallon with the kind of driving I do -- by my own calculations, not the computer's. Not bad. Doesn't make up for the car payment, but it doesn't hurt, either. Love the MP3 capabilities, too.
My only complaint so far is that the steering gets a little twitchy at top interstate speeds, but I think that's the price to pay for it being superbly responsive at parking lot / inching through town speeds. I'll take the trade-off.
It’s keeeeeewwwuuut!! Suits-ya to a T!
Heh... I've noticed that too in my rental. It's really nimble, and at speed it gets a little squirrelly. Mainly because I'm accustomed to the Jeep, I think, which is pretty soft in steering. The Corolla takes just the slightest touch to switch lanes. Usually... it's because I meant to. I think it might also change lanes if you just think about it real loud. :-)
