I’ll put Cecil back on the Parish Prayer list, and I’ll say a Rosary for him.
We went out there and he went through the fence and up this tree.
And then he just stayed there and looked at us.
But no we didn't take the shot. I don't know if you can see the flag on the flagpole of the house across the street, but it's right about under the end of the barrel in the picture. And in between, on the other side of the trees, is the road. Ordinarily not a real busy road, but there's a paving crew out there this morning and a lot of backed up traffic, it's only about 50 yards or so... and we decided it wasn't a safe direction to shoot.
What do you all think? Regardless of the paving crew out there who might be unnerved by a shot that close, otherwise, would it be a safe shot with the road and house there, with #8 shot? I just really don't know if it would go that far or not, so we opted for staying out of the news if possible.
I sprayed him with the hose and he came down, but ambled off into the brush, but ecurbh was already late for work so we didn't send out the hounds to track him. ;~)
Thanks.
