The Hobbit Hole XXXVI - O! Water cold we may pour at need...
Posted on 05/03/2008 8:48:06 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Doh! I was so blinded by the light of the Obamessiah that I couldn’t see the precious.
It made the Wellstone rally look like a Sunday school picnic.
To: Corin Stormhands
I found it frightening and depressing.
But, I'm not sure how it will play in Middle America.

I found it frightening and depressing.I found the arrest of the TV crews on a public sidewalk, and demanding the DOJ prosecute every station that handles Ayers/Obama ads to be frightening. The call-in by Obamabots to the Chicago radio show to shout down Kurtz, and set an example for other media outlets, depressing.
But not too depressing or frightening. I'm armed, they aren't.
Eight years of "kill Bush" and stuff like that has melted whatever they originally used for brains.

The McCain campaign has already done a good job of picking it apart. But there’s just so much there that was frightening.

I'm thinking, it may help him win back some of the PUMA Dems... but among middle-American Independents (you know, the bitter ones) I think it may come across too much as "angry Black man". We'll see.

I skipped the toga party and went to bed. The sight of that many knuckledragging morons is too depressing.

Having seen the arrest of an ABC news crew for attempting to photograph big-money donors and DNC members leaving an expensive restaurant together, and the
Hussein campaign attempting to have the DoJ shut down a radio program for having a guest about to speak on the Hussein/Ayers link, and the multitudinous 2A infringements that pass for "common-sense" regulation, I am becoming convinced that the Bill of Rights, not safe for years, will not be safe until citizens can counter-arrest or cause to be counter-arrested authorities who violate the BoR.
Whether 18 U.S.C. § 241 and § 242 (Depriving of Rights Under Color of Authority, and Conspiracy to do it) is sufficient, I know not. I think it should be.

On my blog I did a tongue-in-cheek (sort of) comparison with Obama's
Tour de Farce and the rise of the antichrist in the
Left Behind series. Some of the comments were frighteningly similar.
In the books, one of the first things Carpathia did was take control of the media.
Barack's not the antichist. But he plays one on TV.

Palin (?)She would be the perfect choice, imho... so I hold out no hope that she'll be chosen. But if she is... whooboy!

Now ABC is saying that Sarah Palin is still in Alaska.
Whoever it is (and I’m optimistically nauseous), the McCain camp is playing this very very well. Much better than Obama’s TXT message scam.

the McCain camp is playing this very very wellAgreed. Notice how the chatter and speculation is all about his VP pick this morning, B.H.O.'s speech has already been pushed to "yesterday's news". I must say, I don't like McCain or a lot of his positions, but it is so very refreshing to see a Republican campaign being run well, for a change.

His campaign people are brilliant. If W had employed the same PR strategy over the last 8 years we wouldn’t be worried about the empty suit.
In other news:
1) FR is running very slowly
2) Now they’re saying Palin IS in Ohio
I’m all a-twitter...(and wish I could be getting my twitter updates in Fangorn)

SirKit was searching for an image of Sarah Palin this morning and came across the
Rattler Gator , a blog out of Florida. I thought you'd get a kick out of it!

Yes, slow as molasses in Alaska in January.
Multiple news sources now saying it's going to be Palin, but I won't believe it until McCain himself announces it. I'm ready to pop some champagne if it is her, though!

Brilliant.
