So, when was the last time you had your eyes exampined?
I'm just askin'...
I get no respect.
If it helps any, the storm last night knocked out Verizon. No phone (land line), TV or Internet. Last time I ended up having to reset the box which I didn't get to this morning because it requires moving furniture....
We’re having our realtor come give us an assessment this afternoon (what we need to fix up, how much we can get, what the market is like).
Trying not to let grass grow under our feet.
Ooooh...it’s like HGTV’s “Designed to Sell.”
Hope it goes well.
I’m in an all day meeting today...check in tonight if we’ve got Internet at home...
Ugh.
Yeah.
Ah well, the whole thing is an adventure.
...paint everything white...
It’s not my eyes... ecurbh’s is clear. ;~)
Heh... well the kitchen is going to get painted cream instead of ugly-ugly-red. Might redo the livingroom from not-quite-mud while we’re at it and we have to touch up the bedroom (green) and the ceilings.
Which brings me back to my kitchen dilemma....what color should it be?
Just the last remnant of border from the kitchen. Thankfully the house did not get wallpapered. It does have lead paint though.
Hmmm... apparently red makes you hungrier. I was going to paint mine all golden-brown shades but now I think just cream.
Right now I’m tending towards light gold or yellow. Something that goes with the green in the living room and definitely not red or orange!
A few years back, when I was working short-term contracts to do computer deployments, me and another guy were setting up new Dell computers with 19" LCD monitors in a chain of pharmacies. I had just taken a monitor out of its box, set it up, turned it on, and moved on to the next one when the other guy gave a shout and pointed over my shoulder. I turned around to see the monitor I had just set up with a thick curl of smoke coming out of the top edge of the casing. It was making an interesting fizzing noise, too. I jumped at it and pulled the power cord loose.
Luckily, we had a spare monitor to finish the deployment.
Heh...at least it was an *interesting* way for a monitor to fail, rather than merely aggravating....
We just got one of those for me this week! It's HUGH! I got the widescreen version so that I could see the side by side windows in my architectural CAD program more easily. Regular stuff looks a little interesting, so stretched out, and all.
Ours is a lovely blue, a California paint color called Rushing River. It actually seems to change color as the light changes. In the morning it's a sort of robins' egg blue, in the afternoon, it's a little more intense blue-green, then in the evening is more of a green-blue.
It needs repainting, though, so before we put it on the market we're going to a med. beige called Hopsack. It's a Ralph Lauren color, and I found it at the Home Despot, in the little sample packets of paints that they sell. They could make that color using the Behr paint instead of the Ralph Lauren. Be a lot less spendy!
I’m thinking of doing a blue in there for an accent color. The dining room and the kitchen should be the same color since they’re like one big room. I kinda want to avoid a lot of blue because I’ve already got a blue room and too much blue gets kind of depressing.
Heh. It makes my - er- blue eyes blue. :)
