yes, yours
So we gave up our “green”, fairly quiet, always start, but remarkedly short-lived, electric lawnmower for a noisy, enviromentally polluting, READY START, gas mower. It won’t READY START for me, I pull and pull, and nothing. I am so angry right now. The grass needs cutting, I am perfectly capable of cutting the grass, IF I could get the d@#! mower to run.
And, while I’m on this rant, I have to get the backflow preventer valve on the north side of the house replaced, and the breaker just blew on the south outside electrical outlet and can’t be turned back on, so I guess the outside electrical box needs to be replaced too. I can see why people move every 5-7 years, and the new owners get to replace all this kind of stuff. Except we’ve lived here 32 years and we’re the ones replacing it again!!! /rant off
That’s good to hear. I may have to see that before it leaves the theaters.
Well, sittin here at SFO. My plane was supposed to be gone by now. But it has a problem with the gas gauge. They’re getting a new part. I’m utterly OK with that.
Whoops... Sounds like we’re boarding. Gotta go.
Doncha just hate days like that? Did you ever get the lawnmower started?
I think I’ll put off mowing my yard until they finish paving the street. I’m tired of having to mow around all those little flags.
They say that disasters happen in threes....
Eh - gas gauges in airplanes never work. Too much bouncing around. ;~)
Yeah, OB came home and it started right up. He said I might have had a vapor lock because I ran it out of gas. See, in my world, the person last using the mower would have filled it up, but, as he pointed out, the mower has to be cool to safely fill it with gas.
Things happen in three’s, well, I’ve got plumbing, electrical, and a whole host of things that could fail at any minute!
Hair of the Dog seemed like a better idea in college than it would now, too. ;~)
Did you guys see Hellboy? We just got back. Thought it was cute and good action.
And it even had elves in it. Of course, these elves look more like the Wraith on Stargate Atlantis.
Still, the main bad elf made Elrond look like Miss Congeniality.
No kidding. It was a very enjoyable flick. This has been a great summer for movies.
I’ll probably at least go see Dark Knight...and maybe watch the X-Files movie for old time’s sake, though I expect it to be a bit lame.
OK, so apparently it barely in the 40s out there. No wonder it’s chilly in here this morning...
I can has summer agin?
Do go see Dark Knight. Go on a weekday afternoon so it’s still sunny out when you get out :) And don’t take a drink, it’s a loooong movie.
Mrs. and I are debating seeing Mamma Mia!, Indiana Jones, or going to see two of our fellow cast members (from the Christmas show that I'm not doing tihs year) in a production of West Side Story.
(Thanks for the drink warning. I had to excuse myself from Prince Caspian)
Go, and you’ll enjoy it. The problem isn’t the length, it’s that you can’t tell what a “safe” scene to get up and hit the restroom is. And I think it would break the suspense.
We’re probably going to see Mamma Mia this weekend. Talon and I are secret ABBA fans ;-D
And there’s a new Mummy movie opening next weekend... you’re a fan of those aren’t you Rosie? We saw a preview last night and it looks fun.
I haven’t seen Prince Caspian, either...but I’m guessing it’s out of theaters now.
The new Mummy movie will probably be fun, too, though I’m bummed that Rachel Weisz isn’t in it.
