I think Sam has been talking to the hermit crabs. When their food dish is empty, they knock over their little plastic palm tree.
In other newz...I’m off to ~another~ all day meeting with some of my very ~favorite~ people.
See y’all this evenin’
Have ever so much fun, Corin.
Is it Friday?
My betta doesn’t have that option, but if I’m sitting nearby, he does something to tap on the glass if he thinks he should be fed...I can’t see what. Bites it, I think. It’s rather startling, ‘cause it’s loud.

I didn't see the first Hellboy until it came on TV a year after it was released. I didn't think I'd like it, but I did, so I was interested in the second one. Even the NYT movie critics gave it a good review!
There is an IMAX theater in Austin, but it is difficult to get to... it's in a busy section of town near the University of Texas, and there isn't much parking available (well, free parking, anyway...)
Hmm, need to see Hellboy... we’ve got friends in town this weekend and are hoping to see Batman as a group Sunday before they leave. Can’t wait.
I’m thinkin’ I’ll go see “The Dark Knight” in the theater in a couple of weeks, alone if need be. Batman Begins was a movie that really was better on the big screen...I expect this’ll be the same.
Mmmm...Christian Bale....
The thing is, my car just had hand controls installed, and this is the first day I've driven it since the late Mrs. Sulla and I bought it on October 31, 2005. I will be getting a power wheelchair from my insurance company by the end of the month, so I will be able to drive anywhere and wheel around wherever folks can walk. Except for limited trips to the doctors and grocery store I have been trapped in my house for just under three years!
Well, I bet that felt good to get out on your own then! I’m a hermit, but even I can appreciate it’s not fun not being ~able~ to get out. So is there any hazardous learning curve on the hand controls driving in public, or was it pretty easy to handle?
Well it takes a little getting used to. There is a knob on the steering wheel to make it easier to turn. The other control is a rod, which you pull down to accelerate, or push back to brake. Not instinctive, so I will avoid heavy traffic.
Don’t feel bad, I don’t get out much either...
Congrats on the new mobility! It has to feel good to be more independent now. Here’s hoping the new chair comes through on time!
Indeed!
WooHoo! Freedom!! Good for you getting out and about!
Well we hermits have to stick together....sort of....I guess.
Hey, great to hear!
I guess so....
I did get out of the house twice today though, which was a good thing.
