Well, it certainly is lovely out there. Went for a walk, ran into a friend I hadn't talked to for awhile...he was walking to Starbuck's nearby, so we shared a little news.

Bit, yesterday's WSJ entertainment section had an excellent article by Joe Morgenstern on movies, and those wonderful silent moments which reveal so much....Bogart and Bergman sharing a look in Casablanca and so on...

Near the middle he discusses some of the current movie stars, and adds this: "(Then there's the singular case of Keanu Reeves, a sub-minimalist on whose perfectly blank visage we can project any damned thing we please.)

LOLOL! Perfectly expressed, don't you say??

And then there's this...In a recent American History magazine, there's an ad for the upcoming 2nd annual GI Film Festival in mid-May, DC. Apparently Gary Sinise was honored at last year's premier event. Kinda nice, don't you think??

And with that, I'll end my imitation of James Taranto's Impromptus :-)))

You forgot some 'Bottom Stories of the Day' and some 'kerfuffles'..;-))

I liked the WSJ article except for the Keanu Reeves reference. I thought KR was pretty tremendous in The Matrix, maybe because he got into that role more than others. He waqs good in COnstantine and Speed, too (although Point Break and the Bill & Ted movies prove the guy's point)...;-))
