Because people tend to plant too much of it, and if you have a couple neighbors doing the same, you are swimming in zucchini when it gets harvested.
Gotcha.... same way with squash. I had squash out the yingyang last year. I got nine plants this year. I suppose I’ll give most of it away.
I love the stuff. I could eat it every meal.
