Last night was the last art class till fall.
That's good news about Marissa and very good news about Jim. It took me some time to learn I needed to take my meds according to instructions. I understand why someone would do the same.
Happy Chicken Dance Day!

President Jefferson was curious to know more about what lay to the west of the inhabited eastern coast. He recruited Lewis and Clark to journey as far west as they could and back, and to write down absolutely everything they saw and did. In addition to the journaling, Lewis and Clark were commissioned to create Lewis and Clark trail maps of the areas they traveled. Many Lewis and Clark trail maps can still be viewed today at the National Headquarters of the Lewis and Clark trail located in Omaha Nebraska.
The Lewis and Clark Expedition crossed into the state of Idaho on August 12, 1805. Idaho is notably the homeland of the famed guide Sacajawea. The expedition crossed into Idaho through what is now known as Lemhi Pass. The expedition was initially forced back into Montana for a time, and would likely have starved to death without the help of the local Nez Perce Indians. After being rescued by these local people, they were able to continue their journey to the Pacific Ocean with Sacajawea as their guide.
Good morning, OESY. Thank you for "SACAGAWEA'S SONG".
And thank you for remembering the Anniversary of Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Happy Lewis and Clark Day!

If those folks were the guide, my family would still be living in Virginia.
Thanks for that funny link.

If I remember correctly, you teach the art class, right?
Happy vacation.
I will be leaving soon; Jim is going into surgery tomorrow to have his left leg amputated just below the knee.

That UTube link is hilarious.
When Marissa was about 4, she had an Elmo doing the Chicken Dance.
Thank you for the great posts.

Root Canal Appreciation Day
Out of all the Zany Holidays, Root Canal Appreciation Day has to be one of the zaniest. Apparently, a bunch of dentists claiming to be unbiased (yeah right) believe that the root canal is getting a bad rap. Now, they are spearheading efforts to reverse the negative image that has been unfairly cast on this "routine, comfortable procedure."
To do so, many dentists are planning public root canal demonstrations in communities nationwide. Chris Kammer, the dentist who created the celebration, plans to perform one on the home plate of his city's baseball stadium! I don't know about you, but I'd rather just take his word for it.
Aside from attending one of these demonstrations, I'm not exactly sure how one would show their support on Root Canal Appreciation Day. I recommend brushing your teeth extra well today to avoid ever needing one, no matter what these zany dentists say!

We also have news of bombs in India and the Mt. Etna volcano is active again, and it makes me wonder! Yes, indeed. Makes me wonder too.
Sorry I wasn't able to get back here yesterday to answer your comments, things got really hectic. Also trying to keep up with the updates on Jim at the same time.
Thanks to both of you for your comments on SBJ. Yes, he is a chubby thing. Mom and Dad Jay are feeding him well. ;-)
Jaycee, I hope your bluebirds all grow up to be healthy beautiful birds. What fun you will have watching your little bird family. :-)
Sorry to hear that you don't have another hummingbird family in your nest, dita. But you can enjoy watching the birds coming to the feeder. We are having lots of hummingbirds visiting our feeders recently. Some of them have little color, I am thinking they must be young ones.
I have an appointment to get to, so have to go. Hope you ladies have a nice day.

Root Canal Appreciation Day LOL!!! Yeah, right!
The only thing I ever found to appreciate about a root canal is WHEN IT'S OVER!!! LOL
Only a bunch of dentists could come up with something like this.
Thanks again, Lady Jay, for making me laugh.

Hi Amy, been outside enjoying the pollen again today. I think I have most of it washed off my furniture, tables, etc. outside but I worked yesterday and today!
I love the Buttermilk Biscuits Day, only if I had some. My son would love the Happy Motocycle Riders Day (he loves his bike) Mom doesn’t like them too well.
Hope you and all our friends today are having a great day! I am going to have my family tomorrow night for good old country supper! (if I can get it all ready) LOL~~~

L. J., I think I will avoid that like the plague!! The charge for a root canal is almost as bad as the root canal!

M.B., my bluebirds seem to enjoy my working out on the patio yesterday. One would light on the pool fence, the other would get something from the tree and sit on the phone wire coming in to the house. Didn’t seem like I was bothering them at all. What worries me, its time to open the pool and the guy will be up there close and I am afraid it will be “babybird time” and they might fall into the pool.....I used to worry about young children, now I worry about the birds. I’m the one who’s nuts.

"Root Canal Appreciation Day" ... You've gotta be kidding.,
I guess the dentists appreciate this day because of the fees they can charge.
I'll stick with Motorcyle Day!

Happy Motorcycle Day!

Good afternoon, Jaycee.
Good to see you again today.
I just got home from visiting Jim Robinson.
He seemed to be doing okay but is somewhat apprehensive ... who wouldn't be?
Like his wife, Shiela, said ... He is kinda attached to that leg. ;^ )
Hope you are enjoying Buttermilk Biscuits Day.
I'll look for a recipe.

When they're over is the only time I appreciate root canals, too. My roots are so deep I have to go to Roto-Rooter!
