I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day weekend - I am enjoying all the beautiful tributes and remembrances you've posted, both here and at Rus' Finest Military Tribute. God Bless our Military, past and present.

I can’t count them there are too many. But I thank the Lord everyday for the many blessings He has bestowed on me.

I’ve been reviewing two days of beautiful and touching Memorial Day graphics, poems and stories here at Amy’s Place. Thank you, everyone, for these tributes. You’ve helped make this day, which already has special meaning to me, even more meaningful. (I hope I didn’t forget to ping anyone. If I did, please accept my apology. Chalk it up to the cold medicine I’ve been taking that is keeping me in a fog.)

We Saved A Seat
We keep a place in the parlor, a seat for an old friend,
Someone who went to fight for us, we shall not see again.
But just in case he wanders by, hes welcome to a rest.
Weve got the seat saved just for him, as flowers will attest.
We dont expect to see him, though we think of him a lot.
We only know he said, Im going, and Ill give it all Ive got.
We know he gave it that and more, and didnt pass in vain.
I guess we sorta knew it when he stepped up on the train.
Id rather think of him that way, instead of in the mud.
And certainly I wouldnt want to think about the blood.
Determined was his visage, and noble was his cause,
And when we count our blessings round, we stop here and we pause.

Thank you, Sweet Kitty Mittens.
Reading all of the wonderful tributes, both here and at the Finest, is very emotional. They are so sad and bring tears to our eyes as they evoke a warm feeling of knowing that our heros are not forgotten.
God Bless our Military and God Bless America.

Hi Amy and all, Sorry I haven’t been around much. Had a couple of invites but mostly I’ve been getting flowers, planting flowers and playing in the good old dirt, which I love! And trying to get my pool straightened out!
Love your patriotic graphic and NNB’s lovely, touching poem! Its not the first tears I’ve shed today.. Watched the Memorial Day Service with our beloved President!
I will review all the Patriotic graphics soon!
To: Lady Jag
