I think you’ve unearthed the underlying conspiracy!
watch the video at nascar.com and hear the shrub for yourselves..he’s the worst driver out there looking to hurt anybody in his way, especially the guy that got his ride.
He sure was a happy camper; one more donut and he might of had a blowout.
This incident -- and many, many others involving the lesser Busch -- diminishes NASCAR.
Yes, I'm an 88 fan, but I respect and honor good racing and good sportsmanship (as generally exhibited before tonight by Hamlin, for instance) from them all, but Busch's conduct and in-your-face attitude about his own sleazy driving are over the top.
If tonight's intentional caution and wrecking had been perpetrated by Earnhardt, I'd be just as angry. If he'd done it and mocked his detractors afterward, I'd be as ashamed of him as I am of UnderBrusch and of the sanctioning body.
Busch should be curbed before he ruins the sport (if he and others like him haven't already, facilitated and sheltered by Helton's shameless commercialism). Hamlin should lose some points, as should Saint Joe...
I heard his interview last night, and I just listened again. Here’s what he said:
“You know, when you bump somebody on the straightaway, if you wanna play boy’s games like that, you know, then it’s every man for himself, and I don’t care, I’ll wreck as many cars as I need to... “
It sounds to me as though he’s referring to those who smack him from behind, those who could have cleanly passed, but didn’t, that he would wreck. Or, I could be wrong, and Shrub is just pure unadulterated evil that Nascar and Fox are perpetrating on Junior nation.
The same was said about The Man through his career, and especially after he wrecked LaBonte at Bristol... some still hate Sr for that.
I'm happy to see Jr developing the driving abilities of his old man, and the maturity of the likes of Martin, Elliot and Gant. He will be a superior driver over time. I'm not worried about Jr.
I find it interesting that we have a good mix of those who think the racing machine favors Jr. It stands to reason, as the old man was a keystone in the modern Nascar. It just may be. If the machine favors him so much, why hasn't he won a race in so long?
OTOH, Gordon, the kid, came up in the same new atmosphere, (under the tutilage of Sr,) and was hated for his accomplishments. Hence, there grew a factional distrust towards all things Gordon too...
Kyle Busch might be a new Sr, new Gordon, new lightning rod. Or he just might be a jerk. Time will tell. It always does.
found a petition on a forum at Nascar.com...of course it will never get to Nascar itself probably, but it was fun to sign it for self gratification, lol.
No one can ever directly let Nascar know how they feel (the great and powerful OZ...), no email address. Do they have a mailing address??

Amen, couldn’t agree more with all you said.
it’s definitely the last part of what you wrote, he’s a jerk. No class whatsoever, he doesn’t and will never hold a candle to anyone else you mentioned..ever! He’s more egotistical than his brother. Kenny Wallace actually called the shrub ‘one of the greatest drivers’ during the busch series race Friday night, I nearly gagged on what I was eating..puhleeeeese....
Did the rain ever materialize over Richmond tonight?
Dunno. I’ve seen this movie before. And the jerk in question became a 5 time Winston Cup Champion. I never liked Gordon, but he is a hell of a driver, isn’t he?
Ever see "Something Wicked This Way Comes" with Jason Robards?
I didn’t like Gordon either and yes he can drive, but he was never like Kyle. Jeff’s problem was the crying, not anger at people.
for high score tie at 313 tonight!
Yep, and I have my weaknesses too. Kinda hard being a driver when so much more is expected these days. When the whole thing started, the best attribute was to be able to outrun the cops. Ask Buddy! My favorite driver used to be The Man. These days my favorite driver is Smoke.
I might take endless crap for that, but so what... he's a driver. Once in a while, you'll find a driver who happens to have a personal gift. Mark Martin is one of those. Bill Elliot is one of those. Harry Gant is one of those, and I think Junior is becoming one of those.
I seem to have asked you a question... or are you out trying to photograph the bear in your First Wife’s garden?
Tony’s cool too, and Harvick. Now with Harvick, when he was the angry new kid on the block, he was still likeable...I don’t think it will ever be like that with Kyle though, snotty little 23 yr. old upstart!! IMO, he’s just too full of himself to be likeable, just like Kurt in Phoenix that year saying to the cop, ‘do you know who I AM??’, like he was too good for that ticket he deserved.
