There is a male cardinal in the just-budding dogwood bush across the backyard : Heaven!
After egg lying time for the birds I like to collect the bird nest, clean them up and spray them with laquer, makes great little items to put arond the hose.
We have a pair of Cardinals. He picks up bits of food for her and feeds her while she sits on top of the bird feeder. We’ve had them for 3 springs now. I can’t be sure it’s the same couple, but each spring 2 show up.
