Not really, but I had to say it.

Actually, 8 years into the current job was a pretty bad time. If the job market had been up then I wouldn't be here now. (And I'm having lots of fun, though I confess some of the fun is absorbing voluminous amounts of intensely boring material just so I can regurgitate it speaking at industry conferences...)

Hemet isn’t just for the old any more.

They just finished tearing down all the military housing that was across the street from RNC. But before they did they used it for urban warfare training. There had to be several hundred housing units in the complex. I knew somebody who had lived there several years ago. He was young enough that he still might be in the military. I could easily imagine him driving a armored vehicle though his old neighborhood mashing things. You could see them from the freeway while they were being trained.

Hemet wasn’t just for the old when the folks lived there, either, though the silver-haired set were a major demographic in town. But that’s been back in the late 1970’s; I probably wouldn’t recognize the place, anymore.

Good morning, West Coast epople! 40’s and sunny here!

The Spirit dropped my viola player on the doorstep last night (she usually practices on Friday), so Sunday’s Spanish music will be viola, percussion, and vocal. It’s an unusual sound, but not bad.

This time Saturday, we’ll be loading up for our week at the beach.

Good morning! 70’s here now. I went to the post office and mailed the girls’ tests to the testing service and a phonics book to a FReeper.

Elen and Sally are going to a friend’s house this afternoon, returning tomorrow afternoon. We’ll use the interval to pack *precisely* what we want them to take to Myrtle Beach!

I’m sure it’s still “there.” I just don’t know how to retrieve it. My brother in Mesa is going to try and get his geek friend to walk him through the process so he can call me and tell me h ow to do it.

Meanwhile, my daughter is going to bring back the hard copy “just in case.”

I can’t dwell on it too much or it will overwhelm me.
