If you evaluate the Conservative and Liberal movements with an open mind, I think you’ll find Conservatism to be far more intellectually consistent across the boards. Certainly, Conservatives may disagree amongst themselves on certain issues, but generally, once you accept the concept of moral absolutes and inalienable rights, you have a consistent frame of reference from which virtually any issue, be it war, taxes, abortion, etc. might be viewed and evaluated.

Big government in economy I know screws things up tremendously and that is where i agree with the right in many ways. I don’t want to pay huge dues to the Government after i worked a million hours and the more the govt. does the more communistic a country gets and we all know that communism just flat out doesn’t work. But why go after things that may not affect you directly? I think (notice not feel haha) thats my biggest problem with the right...why does it matter in a negative way to conservatives that homosexuals get married, just teaching the idea of evolution is immoral, and its wrong for women to be feminists? Give me a solid argument to why the right feels they are obligated to stop these things when they have no real effect on you on a personal level

You can go ahead and keep bashing me or you can honestly help me with understanding the more conservative side of politics and help me out.
