Just got a call from the doc. She says the CT scan shows I have blockages in my leg. They’re going to schedule an angioplasty ASAP to clear them up. I’m going back to the VA for more tests this morning. See y’all later.

This may be a good thing. At least the CT scan showed enough so that they can proceed with necessary treatment. Being in limbo is not good. Things need to be proceeding toward a resolution.

Prayers for a good outcome from the angioplasty. May that clear up some of the pain which it is undoubtedly causing. Thank you Lord, for progress, in Jesus' name. Amen.

If you end up going first, let me know if it hurts. I’ve heard it does, heard it doesn’t. And those that said it hurts, weren’t just whistling dixie. I sure hope yours doesn’t.

First I heard of this Jim. As Reagan said, I hope they aren’t democrats! Count on another prayer shortly.

That sounds like positive new, Jim.

Of course, we will have to put all of DU on Suicide Watch.

This year my mother had an open sore on her left leg that got better but didn’t heal after six weeks of treatment by a wound care nurse. A cat scan showed circulation blockages and tight spots in the leg.

She underwent an angioplasty. They were able to clear the main vein all the way down to her ankle. They did not attempt to clear the two smaller side veins below the knee. The sore then cleared up in about four or five days, and the leg is now doing fine.

Best of luck on your procedure.

Good news. Angioplasty is relatively non invasive & my experiences with 4 not much pain/discomfort after. Hope this helps the flow of blood to help the healing Jim

Thanks for update. I have known several friends/relatives the past couple years with the exact story as yours.. NON healing injury that doesn’t respond.. in each case it was a circulation problem they say.. I think the immune situation (doing things to protect the immune system) is worth looking into with.

With my cancer support groups, this is NOW TOP of the list of things to do..

Hugs to you FRiend! We’ll twist again, I am sure!

I have seen amazing success at the hospital where I used to work with this proceedure. Thank God that they at least know the cause of the problem.

I will be praying for a successful proceedure and a speedy recovery. Dressing those wounds must be difficult. Prayers going up for you now.
