I absolutely love them.....so much better than the apple pies others have on their menu!

Aren't they good? I think I might just have Mr. Bear stop by and pick some up on the way home. I have a craving for an Empanada or two.

......have you ever had Any Problems with Squirrels Eating them?

Actually, I rarely see squirrels around here. We are on the outskirts of town, just down the street are acres of cotton and grapes. You would think we would have more critters around here, but all I ever see is a fruit rat once in awhile and, of course, lots of birds. I could live happily without the fruit rats in my yard. LOL. Oh, and we also have gophers. I could live without them tunneling under my garden too.

Here's a Pic of an Easter Phoebe I Found on the 'Net, just Like the Phoebe's that are Starting a Family on my Porch, Lol. (The Mama Bird is Sitting on the Nest!) : )

How wonderful that you have a nest to watch too. Isn't it fun?

I don't think that Phoebes live around here. I've never seen a bird that looks like that sweet little one.

Don’t you wish we had some of these colorful birds? I saved that picture a couple of years ago. I don’t know whether it is a bluebird or just a blue bird. :^ )

I always wished we had cardinals .... now I want bluebirds.

What a beautiful blue Australian Fairy Wren, MEG! We didn't see any of those when we were in Australia, but we did see some "Rainbow Lorikeets". When we were visiting a koala habitat in Brisbane, we even got to hold their "gruel" bowl as they ate. They seemed to love the stuff. Looked like oatmeal to me.

Jk took these photos. That's me on the bottom left holding their food bowl.

Yes, Amy, wouldn't it be nice if we had birds like this in our neighborhood?

Happy International Bird Day!

How come we don’t have Cardinals? Why won’t they live here? I want Lightening Bugs too. We’re missing out on these things, Amy. :-(

Poetgal, hot wet compresses do WONDE$RS to loosen up blocked and infected sinuses. I use a hand towel, heat it in the microwave (not too long), take it out, make sure it’s not too hot, then get in the recliner, and put it accross my nose and cheeks. (About ten minutes - 3 or 4 times a day.) That is my suggestion, and not medical advice. (But it works for me, and was advised by my physician.)

Hope you feel better real soon!

Happy International Bird Day!

Had a day care group of 4 and 5 year olds come by the store to see the chicks today.
They all drew me a picture of a chick."

How sweet! I can see why you would enjoy working there.
The plants and the little ones would grab me.
