Gosh, I love your lemon tree and the lilacs are gorgeous...I believe I can smell both! My brother and family lived in California a few years a pretty long time ago and they would talk about their lemon tree!

Bet your yard is beautiful!

Praying for Jim also...sounded so sad, it worries me!

The colors are like jewels. Southern Arizona is well-known for hummingbirds, especially near a town called Patagonia. Here is one of my saved pics:

Yorkie, I think you may not have been pinged... sorry... when I had hummers nesting outside my window this past year: in November/December and January/March. The first time she raised one baby, the second time two babies. What a miracle just two feet or less in front of my eyes!!

I did read that....I haven’t seen mine yet....its usuallly about right now when they first show up!

I am so glad you have them this year, after last year! Aren’t they entertaining? Can’t wait until the work is finished outside and I can sit out there and watch as long as possible in the evenings.

I think my lemons are called "Lisbon". I don't know how they are different from Meyers or Eureka. The tree sure bears well, but we have cut it way back this year, so I don't expect to get many the next couple seasons. Our tree was supposed to be a "dwarf", but if we don't prune it back for a few years it gets at least 30 feet tall. The only way we can reach the lemons is to cut the branches off.

I sure wish you were closer, dita, I could have shared a bushel of lemons with you. My neighbors have their own citrus trees so we can't give them away around here.

I wish I was closer too; I could take some of those lemons off your hands. I use them on salads and fish, but other things too.

I lived once where the neighbor had grapefruit trees, and the fragrance of those blooms is even more divine than orange blossoms to my nose.

I think the weather is warmer up your way today. It turned cool here, barely a high of 60 today...

What an absolutely amazing set of photos!! Thanks for the ping, yorkie.

I am going to have my own little "nature" show here soon. I found where my Jays are nesting.....in my Oleander bush right near the patio where they come to get peanuts from me! I am so excited that, once again, I will be blessed to see another little jay family come into the world.

I will be posting photos tonight or tomorrow. I got a pretty good one of momma sitting on the nest today.
