Was the popcorn shrimp too small for her? How does she like it fixed, Amy.
Sunday, I sauteed shrimp and scallops again for me. Can’t get enough. Roasted some very tiny new potatoes as my side dish. Those potatoes were a lot smaller than a golf ball. The only place I have found a potato that small is at a little Greek restaurant on down the highway from me. They call them Greek potatoes~~LOl~~its a great little restaurant!
Amy, I have eaten Shrimp Scampi out but never fixed it. Bet the vermouth added good flavor. Mmmmm!
I used about 1 T. of butter (real) and 1 T. oil. Added garlic to that and stirred a bit. I almost got mine too hot but didn’t~~then I had rinsed and dried my bay scallops and raw shrimp, salt and peppered it, then sauteed just around 5 minutes. Added a sprinkling of paprika for pretty color and it was delicious and quick. The pan drippings were so delicious poured over it...makes me want it again. I have fixed it twice in a month. Better slow down, I may become allergic~~LOL~~
I bought a small jar of minced garlic and keep in the fridge so it will always be available and its quite good, I think!
Marissa doesn’t like her shrimp breaded. She likes the large prawns like they use in Shrimp cocktails.
I should try some with scallops for her. She likes them cooked in olive oil with garlic.
One day, I bought a can of baby shrimp for her. I was going to see what I could do with them. She ate them right out of the can. I gave her a few and she kept asking for more.
Marissa has good taste!
I meant to tell you when I bought the seafood, I picked up 6 of the ready to eat shrimp (Louisiana spiced) and I enjoyed those while I was cooking~~~crazy huh?
I gave Marissa some of the ready to eat .... she loved them.
LOL
You are correct ..... I love the smell of roses. I like the smell of a briskett cooking in the crock pot.
I love the smell of babies.
LOL!! Priceless.
You are right about that. I made the graphic and even I didn't know it had been posted before.
You'd think we weren't paying attention or something. LOL ;-)
I love the smell of new mown grass...I love the smell of a spring rain.....I love to smell bread baking and this may surprise you....I loved the smell of the cologne/after-shave of a gentleman I dated. I think he liked the smell of mine, too, as he asked what it was and bought me a nice bottle and its not cheap. He was a giver! We parted for silly reasons but are still friends.......there is still a possibility! ~~LOL~~You won’t believe it but I ran into him at the doctor’s office today! He is a very sweet and complimentary guy!
When my hubby passed away 4 years ago, I didn’t think there was the least possibility that I could ever care for anyone else!
God makes us to get better and try to live a full life if we can! I truly believe that! I have read if you’ve had a long happy marriage, you are more likely to want someone in your life! Its true! This sounds like a Dear Abby letter!
Why am I doing this?
Hey ... invite him over for Shrimp Scampi!
Don’t let it slip away without making an effort!
I can’t explain...its a little complicated. I am waiting for him. Don’t know what could happen in the future! If its meant to be, it’ll happen!
Hello Lori, I need a update on Sweet Baby Jay, please! Is he out of the nest again? Just wondering if Mama let her out again.
Hi jaycee. Okay, I have an update for you. Yes, he is out of the nest. Mama Jay not only let him out, she is keeping him out! I found her laying across the nest with her wings spread out and SBJ sitting on a branch next to her. All I can figure is, Mama wants him to get his lazy butt out the nest and start exercising his wings. LOL.
If Mama has her way, this is one little jay who's not going end up a couch nest potato! ;-)
“If Mama has her way, this is one little jay who’s not going end up a couch nest potato! ;-)”
I know this is nature and the way its supposed to work but its sad to me also! They know better than this gal....I’ve never had a bird~~LOL~~
I thought I knew how to italicize but it didn’t work! I’m nuts!
LOL! < i> .... < /i> (no spaces).
Time for dinner. TTYL!
Oh, no! BAD Mr. Mittens!!!
