So far, no A/C but blinds are closed and fans are on.
It is suppose to cool off again next week.
It cannot be 116. More like the low 90's.

Whoa... you sure they don’t mean Baghdad?! That weather station must be close to the ground in one of the fields.
We’re down to 89F currently; looks like we topped out at 93F... just as I was coming home.
I need to check the fire situation in northeast L.A., Angeles Natl. Forest, when the local news comes on. Hope my friends in Sierra Madre are okay.

My weather gizmo on my desktop is saying 88 here. I usually only use the A/C a couple days during the summer - those days when it gets up to 105+. It stays fairly cool in the house if I do like you and close the blinds and turn on the ceiling fans. I try not to use the air because it kills me when I get a $300 electric bill.
I do believe it is time to whip up some ice cold lemonade. Lemonade for everyone! :-)
I love summertime!

I noticed that the temp now says 91. Guess someone decided to take the weather station out of the direct sun. LOL

Ahhh ... what a cute picture of a little sparrow. Thank you. Sparrows are always singing and chirping. Such peaceful outdoor sounds.
Thank you for sharing A Spring Carol by Robert Louis Stevenson.

As you can see, I have been AWOL most of today. I’m sorry that I didn’t reply sooner.
The weekends sometimes gets hectic for me, but the beauty at Amy’s Place never stops.
Looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow.

I’m thrilled that you are sharing poetry. It seems that I spend less time finding poems to post that I did before.
Thank you.

I will tell you when the Presentation is mine. I receive most of these from friends and some I obtain myself. I generally do not add to or subtract from them, maybe add music if I think it would benefit or adjust the timing.
Normally I do not like to interfere with someones work. Occasionally, some come in that are too big to post, some are caused by the music not being compressed or by using large original pictures which PowerPoint cuts down to about 750 x 563 but both pictures are included within program. In these events I either compress the music or strip out the slides, batch resize them and put the Presentation back as in the original but now its size is under 6megs with no loss of quality for the viewer.

Powerpoint Presentation with very nice MUSIC..
A WALK ON THE PASEO MARÍTIMO
LA CORUÑA
This is one I made OESY and here is the story of the Walk. I made this Presentation about a year ago from some photos taken in 2004. I took my ladies for a walk on the Paseo Maritimo in La Coruña which they had never done before as they live a couple of miles away from there.
Two of the ladies were in their late 80´s one in her early 90s, but they were not the problem, another lady in her 70s wanted to come with us and she had had an operation on her foot and walked with limp.
So, the day before, I checked it out myself to make sure I could make it back to the car from any point in our circular tour should the need arise and also be able to give them my undivided attention if I also took the photos that day.
In any event we made it easily, so I bought them a beer as a reward.
The Presentation will take about a minute to download as it is long and has two pieces of of music included.
For those of you that do not have PowerPoint
the FREE Microsoft PowerPoint Reader can be downloaded from Here or HERE
Click the picture to see the Presentation.
Right click for full screen and to back up to the first slide if the music stops.

My Love
If my love were a light,
There would be no night,
And all that is day would seem dim and gray.
If my love were a sound,
No silence could be found,
And all that is noise, the play of little boys.
If my love were a breath,
There would be no death,
And all that lives would endure forever.
