Wild Iris
In your neat garden iris grows
Bright yellow, mauve - in stately rows.
This one youve pickeds a lovely thing,
I know it brightens up our spring.
But in the forest, springtimes child,
A purple iris growing wild,
Can melt my heart as spring melts snow,
Its spoilt me for the sort you grow!

You're too much. I was half-kidding--thinking that you wouldn't be able to respond to my impossible request--though you had said you had provided the translation in one of your earlier PPS posting, probably SALVE MARINERA. But thank you. It should be helpful. Now could you suggest a tour boat company that visits them all? (This time I really am kidding.)

Actually, I did it to find a way to quickly change the names of lots of photos -— I found it was easiest in IrFranview using the thumbnail option and making the thumbnail big enough so I could read the name.
Whereas, it is easy to batch change names one first has to arrange them in the order that you would like and in this case that was the whole object of the exercise, arranging by naming was the way to go.
Now I would like to find out how I can tag thousands of photo easily. I don´t think I will be able to do that but I am working on it.

Thanks, Yorkie. I think Sirtaki (Syrtaki) has slipped down a bit on my list of favorite songs since I had to listen to it about 30-40 times while trying to locate each island either a map or via Google Earth.
Undoubtedly, the song has a transporting quality for many but once you've arrived at your destination, you don't immediately want to climb back on for the return flight.

I wonder if you can use bagpipes to play "You Light Up My Life"?
Joe Brooks and Debbie Boone would probably not be amused.

It is there, Amy. Pics have been disappearing from, and reappearing in, posts quite a bit on FR lately... probably not disappearing but very, very slow to load.

Pretzel Day?
Well, there's this ...
Pretzel Logic
I find it somewhat puzzling.
Its curious, you see,
The way that things get twisted round,
And then come back to me.
I lent my friend some pruning shears,
His bushes had grown wild.
They came back looking like two spears!
He blamed it on a child.
I gave my daughter good advice,
Concerning an investment.
Buy low, and then sell high, my dear,
That wasnt her assessment.
The money that would fund her way,
Through college for her books?
She found it much more useful to,
Uh ... supplement her looks.
But, Daddy! I remembered it,
How interest gets compounded.
And I was sure that youd agree,
A girl should be well-rounded!
So I have almost given up,
Those projects, well-intentioned.
Why even that guy that I voted for,
Forgot the things I mentioned.
Ive got just one thing I can try,
Ive always been so poor,
That package from Nigeria,
Will soon be at my door.

Dita, I am glad to hear you say “pictures are hard to load”. I have stayed off line a lot today because for a couple of days, I haven’t been able to get around here, unless at a snail’s pace. Pictures will eventually load if I have time to sit there and wait what seems like forever. I’m thinking it could by my computer but if others may be having trouble maybe its not me.
I re-booted, did a Sweep, checked my modem, and its still aggravating! If anyone else is having trouble let me know so I can know my next step.
To: JustAmy
Those Iris’ are gorgeous! Told Dita I have been having trouble getting around FR for several days and have asked if anyone is having this slow problem.

Ooops, should have pinged Mama Bear.... d'oh.
