Hubby has people in Cape Vincent—right on the St Lawrence. It’s absolutely beautiful there—in July! LOL
Awesome pic—pc still not co-operating—could be operator error. BWAHAHA
Re:oysters
Do you have any idea how hungry the first person to try oysters had to be?! LOL They are UGLY!
Congrats on your new friend, yorkie!
Great poem, NnBob! Nakie is good!
Well, I will agree with that. They must have looked at it and studied it and said “What the heck is this...I think I will swallow it raw!!” LOL~~
Congrats, Poetgal! Hope you’re feeling better!
I second that motion! Cute graphic!
They must have been STARVING!!!!
OTOH, they’ve been eaten here for centuries, long before the white man set foot here. There’s a place across our river, river’s a good mile and a half wide, called appropriately enough, Cross Rock. Rock in this case being an oyster rock, not an actual rock! The indians ate enough oysters over generations, i would guess, to build a 10-20 foot wide causeway from one side to the other. They left a space in the middle, or the tide kept it washed out. It’s a l-o-n-g wat around, even now. They had the smarts of it! I only live across the river from Morehead City but it’s about 20 miles by road. LOL
Hope you’re feeling better! All this up and down weather kills me. It needs to stay sunny and 75 with a light breeze! Working 10 hours a day, 6 days aweek isn’t helping either! LOL
What a precious husband you must have, Kitty! You deserve his kindness and I supposed you treat him the same with your loving personality! Ya’ll must be a great couple and thats wonderful!
I love your presentations. I have a friend that sends me some and I am always glad to get them as they are beautiful and usually the music is very good!
Too cute! Happy bday, Chachi! i’ve got one with floppy ears—meaner than snot. When he goes it’s going to be a bad time. He’s 11 or 12.
So, what kind of toy did Chachi pick? Artie goes for the animal shaped ones! He will keep a toy forever—as long as his wife doesn’t chew the squeaky out and the stuffing!
Now, who wouldn’t love that little cutie??
I know. It's so hard when you have to say goodbye. We have had several dogs over the years, each one precious in their own way and each time we lose one I say "that's it, no more dogs. I can't lose another one". But eventually God brings us another dog to love. They do bring so much joy and companionship into our lives.
So, what kind of toy did Chachi pick?
He hasn't been to PetsMart yet. I think my husband is going to take him after he gets home. I have pulled some muscles in my shoulders from moving furniture today, so I think I am going to pass on this trip to the pet store. Chachi will probably pick another stuffed one. He loves stuffed animals and sleeps with three; a "green guy", a polar bear and a mangy looking Husky dog. He is so spoiled. LOL
I am sending cyber-hugs to Artie. :-)
Well, we sure do. He has us wrapped around his little paw. In my husband's eyes, he can do no wrong. He is a daddy's boy, for sure. Although, when "daddy" is not around, he's a big ol' mama's boy. LOL
(((Kitty Mittens))), I second what Jaycee said in post #1429. This is good news about your new pet, your Sweet Dog, and I am looking forward to pics of him.
Thank you, dita. Chachi just loves all these nice birthday wishes he’s been getting. It’s not every dog that gets this much attention on his birthday. ;-)
I say the same thing every time. It’s like losing a kid. They get so tight in your heart and they live such a short while. It must be kind of like being immortal and watching your mortal friends age and die, if that makes sense.
Artie “appropriated” a Shamu from my youngest son. He picked the seams apart and removed all the stuffing. He carried that Shamu skin around for years, slept with it, everything. It finally unravelled and we had to throw it asay. i’ve never had a dog that held onto toys like he does! Darcy, his wife, just likes to shred them, after first digging the squeaky out!
Thanks for the hugs, and here’s a couple for Chachi!
