That's the idea, I'm bringing the parade and the floats to you (and the other AP denizens), so just relax and enjoy. Two more before I sign off FR for the night:

It is almost impossible to believe those are made of flowers and/or plant material.

Thanks, Dita.

Morning, Meg. Beautiful flowers you have there.

Did you ever wonder where the first peach cobbler came from, or so I'm told?

Once upon a time, Queen Peach looked into the mirror and asked, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the most beautiful peach of all? The mirror replied, "Snow Peach." Queen Peach was so angry, she called, "Green Peach! Green Peach!" She told Green Peach to take Snow Peach into the woods, kill her, and bring back up her pit to prove she is dead. Green Peach took Snow Peach into the woods, and she was so pretty, Green Peach said, "Run, Snow Peach, you are so beautiful, and I can't kill you." Snow Peach ran far away. She had to get a job. She became a shoemaker. That's how we got the first peach cobbler.

Happy Peach Cobbler Day!

Selling tons of plants
smiling at all customers
gritting my teeth lots

Buying lots of plants
planting them will surely please
me with pretty flowers

colors like bright jewels
lighting up the world each day
make it all worthwhile

Snip, snip and clip clip
Flowers on the table now
brighten all the days

Hummingbirds are back
flying jewels buzz past my head
flowers in the air

Your turn, and I’m definitely feeling better this morn! Store is closed today!

Great story, yorkie!

I’m starved for protein this time of year. Just got up and made some bacon and cheese omelets—some of your peach cobbler would have topped it off perfectly!

Cheering Each Other On
Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works. —Hebrews 10:24

A mile from the finish line of the London Marathon, thousands of onlookers holding signs lined the route. When spectators spotted a family member or friend coming into view, they shouted the person's name, waved, and yelled encouragement: "Just a little farther! Keep going! You're almost there." After running 25 miles, many competitors were barely walking and ready to quit. It was amazing to watch exhausted runners brighten and pick up the pace when they saw someone they knew or heard their name called out.

Encouragement! We all need it, especially in our walk of faith. The book of Hebrews tells us to keep urging each other on. "Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, . . . but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching" (10:24-25).

The New Testament is filled with the certainty that Christ will return soon. "The Lord is at hand" (Phil. 4:5). "The coming of the Lord is at hand" (James 5:8). "Behold, I am coming quickly" (Rev. 22:12).

As we "see the Day approaching," let's keep cheering each other on in the faith. "Keep going! You're almost there! The finish line is in sight."

Help me, Lord, to reassure and strengthen
Others by the words I speak today;
I would always try to be affirming,
As our pathways cross along life's way. —Hess

Even if you have nothing else to give, you can give encouragement.

Are either of you from Vermont?

There's a humorous aphorism attributed to E.B. White that explains
the meaning of “Yankee” depends on your geographic location:

To foreigners, a Yankee is an American.
To Americans, a Yankee is a Northerner.
To Northerners, a Yankee is an Easterner.
To Easterners, a Yankee is a New Englander.
To New Englanders, a Yankee is a Vermonter.
And in Vermont, a Yankee is somebody who eats pie for breakfast.

Nope! He forgot one—damned yankees! The ones who move south and every word out of their mouths is either a complaint; ie, that’s not the way we did it back home—or a put down;you do that how? LOLOL

Hey, but I’ll eat dessert for breakfast any day!

You recall to mind what one Georgian told me when I was working in Atlanta:

Yankees are more profitable than cotton, and twice as easy to pick.
