I have to totally disagree with you there. If season 4 had been trying out with this season's contestants the majority of season 4 would not have made it to the show. Besides Daughtry and Mcphee the rest would have be sitting the season out. JMHO.

Vocally this season is killing any past season. These guys and girls are really singing and singing well. Hey I am not a big fan of pop but these people are really impressing me big time with their vocal skills. As far "Idol Gives Back" last year I thought Kelly C. was awesome with Jeff Beck doing a blues thing for a change it shows she a good range. Her voice gets stronger it seems with time.
