FWIW, Dial Idol has been 100% correct for Seasons 4, 5, & 6 in the finale week. The closest was Underwood/Bice, but even though they didn’t make a prediction that year, they had Underwood ahead by nearly 3 points.
So they have a perfect track record for the finale week.
So, there’s a strong chance David Cook has won.

Dial Idol has been accurate since they got down to the final 6. It’s numbers improve when there are less contestants.
I have no reason to doubt their figures. (Zabasearch also has Cook in the lead but will post final numbers after 8am)
If Cook doesn’t win tonight, there’s something fishy going on!

Wow, FR seems to be on the fritz AGAIN. A bunch of posts appear and disappear. When they appear, I tried to reply to Wyatt’s torch but it keeps telling me the document doesn’t exist on this server. ????????

Whatever changes they made to FR, I wish they’d go back to how it was before. :(

I actually gave Simon the finger (yes, me, mild-mannered Hetty!) when he said Archuletta won round one. Aaargh again. LMAO!!
A pox on Simon. I wish him nothing but joy with Daddy Archuletta for the next year. Have fun.
Really. If they thought Stage Dad was a nuisance before ...

Thanks for your kind words. I’m sure that you know this, but regardless of who wins the competition, both of the Davids (Cook & Archuletta) will shortly sign recording contracts and have successful musical careers ahead of them.

The voters may have felt that over the weeks, Cook gave them what they wanted and Archuleta didn't. And as far as I can remember, Cook never forgot the lyrics to a song. Archuleta did! His first night in the Top 12, he completely blew a Beatles song--couldn't remember the words at all. It was embarrassing.
But David Cook has always been a consistent pro.

I thought this was a popularity contest. No, it's not a signing contest or a popularity contest. It's a marketing contest, which still boggles my mind when I realize that Archuleta is going to win, as he's not marketable at all.
In three years, everyone is going to still be talking about David Cook, while Archuleta is struggling to put out a second album.

He beat the crap out of david Cook tonite. He is real and has no phoney scruff. He has the drive and power tonite. He projected his power in all of his songs. He's one dimensional ... a ballad boy. Nothing "idol" about him. Yeah, he's got a good voice and can sing well. But Cook is the whole package and shows much more maturity and versatility than Monchichi does.

NEW YORK, New York —
A New York City college student sued actress Lindsay Lohan, claiming the Mean Girls star took her mink coat without permission and kept it for more than two weeks.
Maria Markova says in a lawsuit filed Monday that the 21-year-old Lohan took the $12,000 golden sheared mink coat while in the nightclub 1 Oak on Jan. 26.
The 22-year-old Markovas lawyer, Merrill Cohen, says Lohan had been sitting next to her client. Cohen say Markova next saw her coat on Lohan in a photo in OK! Magazine.
Cohen says she called Lohans people and demanded the coat. She says Markova got the coat back on Feb. 14.
Cohen says the lawsuit, filed in Manhattans state Supreme Court, asks unspecified damages.
Lohans lawyer, Blair Berk, said it would be inappropriate to comment on the case.
We all know Lohan is a skank, but geeze.

This is making me sick. Cook chose the better song. It was different. Archuleta's was PREDICTABLE. And boring. Don't forget boring.

Ive done another one of those videos, if you remember we did Celine Dion and Elvis Presley [during Idol Gives Back last spring], said Lythgoe. Ive done another one of those, which is absolutely fantastic... More than two [people] this time.
But, what do you make of this? “More than two people this time.’
Maybe one of the group songs? Was Amanda in the top 12? Joplin? Ohhhhh, what about Bob Marley?

I guess that means 8am Pacific time? Right now, Zabasearch is showing DC with a very slight lead as of midnight last night. Dial Idol says DC crushed Archie last night.
