Now *that* is a great song. If he doesn’t go yard with that, this whole season is one big “nevermind.”
To: peggybac
They had a song writing contest. Both David’s picked one song from the top ten of those new songs.

David Cook
His choice is pretty good--a foot-tapping power ballad. It contains all the "reaching for your dreams" stuff that we expect an Idol song to have.
Randy: The song was just okay for me. But you made it work. You sang the face off that!
Paula: A song in your heart, a guitar in your hand. (she likes it) Congratulations!
Simon: Using the boxing analogy, it was a bit of a lightweight. It didn't feel like a winning moment for me. (loud boos) Just an opinion! Good news is, we have a third song. I give it 6.5 out of 10.

No chills yet from David C. That’s not good. He needs to kick @$$ on the 3rd song.

Round 2 ...
To: retrokitten
Hey Retro...Miranda Lambert was in toewn last weekend.
As for AI and this is my 2nd time watching this show. I would say Achuletta won round one and Cook's 2nd song was just OK. I agree with Simon. We'll see what Archeletta brings to the plate for his second song.
To: peggybac
They did from the list...the last two are their personal choices. The World I Know for DC, Imagine for DA.

We all know Monchichi will pick a cheezy power ballad and the judges will go crazy over him.
This is really starting to tick me off. It’s almost as bad as when they turned off Diana Degarmo’s ear monitor so she’s go flat and give Fantazer the win that year.

I agree. I wont be devastated if he loses but I sure want him to win. Same here on both counts.

Yes I agree. The Michael Buffer effect was a bit lame.

Although I would enjoy papa monchichi's meltdown if baby mon doesn't win..I bet he throws a or five and goes totally Bobby Knight.
