Monchichi is actually very good at singing. If you guys closed your eyes, you’d hear a guy with incredible vocal control. You are all focused on his squinched-up “serious crooning” face, which is a mite phony for such a young dude. But he CAN sing. He is really good.

(I prefer David Cook, however.)

Dreads has to leave tomorrow, he really does, but my kids were voting to save him like crazy. I think he will be fine. He will probably be a big success. He has oodles of charm and he is who he is. In his niche he is perfect.

I am reminded of an old Barbara Walters interview, decades ago, with Rod Stewart. She was bent forward and fawning all over him: “Where did you receive your vocal training?” and all that. He just looked at her and said, “Are you KIDDING?” and laughed. I see Jason as being beloved like old Rod without needing any vocal perfection.

I also think he feels darn lucky to have gotten as far as he did — actually, somewhat SHOCKED.

Maroon 5 and Bo Bice tomorrow night.

What?! Maroon Five?! My biggest crush in the world, Adam Levine?! (although my daughters think he's gross, lol) Can't wait!

That reminds me of when Ned Flanders went nuts and checked into "Calmwood Mental Hospital" :)

LOL

And she's telling the dustbunnies how rude they are for disagreeing with her :)

Bwahahaha!

Me too. There will be nothing but politics after that, as far as FR goes :-/

But that's when it's time to get outside! Works out perfect!

But who picks Duran, Duran on Rock-n-Roll Hall of fame nite? What was he thinking? LOL

Ugh! No kidding, 'rock lite' (plus I've always hated that song) but he made it palatable.

Lousy mixing like that makes or breaks a performance and I think it was responsible for much of last nite's overall suckage. You can do a lot with a weak voice when you have a solid range of sound backing you up. I saw Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan on tour a couple summers ago. The torrential rains messed up a lot of the sound equipment, so it was Willie, his guitar, and one live mic. And let me tell you, the man needs a band. As (Frank Caliendo spoofing) Charles Barkley sez: "Turrable, turrable!"

"I couldn't find the deputy"

That's funny right there!

Matt on Hell's Kitchen scares me to death. From the minute I saw him he reminded me of Son of Sam. Uncanny resemblance.

I feel bad for Jason, too...loved his style; I’ll be sad to see him go tonight. I did vote for him for an hour straight if that helps. ;)

I miss Brooke, too. If you look back a few days, I've posted her post-Idol interviews and performances. ;)

"Don't you tell me I'm under the couch! I'll tell you when YOU'RE under the couch! Oh, am I breaking up your little dust bunny posse? GOOD! Like I really need an invitation to participate under the couch with you losers. Which one of you loser dust bunnies drank all the bourbon?"

ROFLMAO! You've got her down perfect!

"Looks like you dustbunnies need a group hug. Fine, just leave me out of it. And if you don't want me to tell you how wrong you are, then stop talking to me!" :)

you are so good at channeling that nitwit, sounds almost like she’s here

She will be here tonight, I bet :-/

When she shows up, let's all talk like her :)

Jason is the obvious one to go. I am going to predict it will come down to the two Davids.

I think that's the way it will be too.
