Believe it or not, it's actually LORD. He was knighted by the Queen. David C was the only one who addressed him properly.
ALW looked sooo uncomfortable throughout the program until the very end when he could finally relax ~ as if they were all his own kids.
He was beaming afterwards ~ not sure if it was pride or just plain relief. Maybe both.

Ranking the guys 1-3 and the girls 1-3 is pretty easy this week, merging the lists is slightly tougher, but here goes:
- Syesha - Since she pretty much is a Broadway style singer, this night was perfect for her, and she picked a good song that wasn't too "diva" for a change. Since this was her "natural" style, she needed to win the night, and she did. A
- David C. - I got the song choice right for one of them at least; the haunting nature of the song fits David well. Mrs. kevkrom didn't think he'd be able to really sing it, I expected him to turn the song upside down in some sens -- we were both wrong, as he did it "straight" and the boy can actually sing. A-
- Carly - Good song choice, she actually even smiled a bit (!) while singing it. Almost as if she were having fun or something, and didn't actually hate or resent the audience. An interesting note (from Mrs. kevkrom) -- she had to have someone else pick her song; this does seem to be a major problem with her. B+
- David A. - I agree with Simon -- this wasn't a very strong performance, and I found it boring and the "modernization" fell flat. C
- Brooke - Her second "false start" so far... fans won't be as forgiving this time. The lower stuff was pretty rough, and while she got the emotionj out of the song, this was technically very sub-par. D+
- Jason - This was simply awful, from the moment he selected the song to the point where my ears stopped bleeding. He may have just saved Brooke's hide. F
Updated Standings
- David C. (n/c) - opening the gap between him and the pretenders
- David A. (+1) - he had an off night, but Brooke had an worse one
- Brooke (-1) - needs to nail a performance, and soon
- Syesha (+2) - the best of the rest
- Carly (-1) - still don't see a "star" here
- Jason (-1) - send the dreds home, already!

I read through these threads the next day after the show, and so many comments are really, really funny. But not one of them made me literally LOL until I read yours. I was laughing so long from it that I was actually reading the next page and still laughing, so I had to go back and tell you. ROFL!
She sounded like she was getting another tattoo.

How can they criticize them by saying, Its just not your style when they are the ones who selected the theme?
My favorite complaint about the judges advice is when they tell some hapless contestant to "branch out, show us what else you can do." The poor sucker does just that, and then gets told, "You need to be true to yourself and your own style. This song just wasn't you, man." sheeeeesh

I was just reading some comments on another Idol forum. It seems that poor Dreads was SICK last night! And not a peep about it from him. Also, many said that David A. and Carly (I thought so) also flubbed their lyrics and yet not a peep from the judges. I agree with the poster who said that the one to go is Randy for being so biased—especially in his nastiness toward Dreads and fawning for Baby Elmo.

I cant be the only one who thinks that Andrew Lloyd Weber looks like a Mike Meyers character.

You're right!!! LOL

Actually, he’s been married three times, all to very attractive women, and has four or five kids. He’s currently married to wife #3 since 1991.

No wonder it threw him, hearing David A sing “Think of Me” which was made famous by his former wife, the brilliant Sara Brightman!

My picks for David C for Neil Diamond week are Forever in Blue Jeans or Love on the Rocks. He could totally rock those out.
But I would completely melt if he did the Pulp Fiction version of Girl, You’ll Be a Woman Soon. Oh the thoughts I’d have of him that my husband would not approve of!

All this 'Earth Day', 'Global Warming' and 'Save the Planet' crap, is just a company making many profits

And last night reminded me why I really don't care for Andrew Lloyd Webber music.....
SO, HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS ON THE TOP 6:
Syesha Mercado - "One Rock & Roll Too Many"

One diva song too many? Although I liked this one and it suited you. It was a bit pitchy in parts but it was good. And I love the way you looked too.......it's about time you tamed down your hair and stopped looking like a poodle.
Jason Castro - "Memory"

Memories are all we're gonna have, after you get booted tonight. Same stool, same style, same sound.....'nuff said.
Brooke White - "You Must Love Me"

We must love you, because you're still in the competition. I didn't like how you stopped and restarted the song...but whatever, you get a pass, for some reason I don't get. I kept thinking of Madonna while you sang this song...and although I don't appreciate the song itself, you did pretty good. You're still boring though.
David Archuleta - "Think Of Me"

When I think of you, I fall asleep.
Carly Smithson - "Jesus Christ Superstar"

Jesus Christ....you are a Super Star! I had never heard this song before and I realize I don't like it, but you did pretty good, regardless. Funky dress.
David Cook - "The Music of the Night"

And it was the music of the night and you did pretty well......probably because you didn't change it up and make it sound like the crap you've been doing. And except for the obvious arrogance, that keeps emanating from you...your performance wasn't so bad. I kept trying to remember what Disney movie this song was in....and then thinking that you could be good at singing in Disney movies. Then again, you're probably above that, aren't you?

I think Brooke was awesome despite her flub at the beginning.
Syscreecha was the best she has ever been.
And Tattoo Girl won the night.
If Dreadboy isn't gone I'm done with this stupid program.
Baby Elmo and Flock of Seagulls...YOU SUCK TOO!
