“So now without KLC, will this help Brooke?”
Yes. (To some degree) I think they have a lot of fans in common so some of the Kristy fans will turn to Brooke.
I’m not sure if I’ll go that way myself. I think I’m personally only going to vote for David Cook now. He’s the only one who really should win and I’d hate to have people think he’s “safe” because he’s so good. (Think of Daughtry’s departure) Kristy was my “girl” so I voted for her faithfully every week since the top 12.
I also think you’re right about Carly. (At least I hope you are!)
Tony...why did you think that Brooke helped KLC to get voted off?
“I think if anyone shares Brooke’s demographics in voting it is Jason, not Kristy.”
Not sure I can agree with that one. I for one can’t stand Castro but I really like Brooke.
I find Castro boring and too much like the bums who sing outside coffee shops than a true “Idol.”
Brooke has a nice voice and has shown that although she’s not a vocal “power house” she can play a mean piano and guitar! She (Like Kristy) seem to have a humble background too. Both girls are easy to listen to and are attractive.
I though Kristy had the better voice but if I was rooting for a girl this season I’d have to pick Brooke now that Kristy Lee’s gone.
Out of the guys left (even including the aussie), I rated Jason dead last.
BTW...this is an interesting season because on FR there’s not as much “unity” as in years past. Some liked Kristy, some like Carly, some like Castro and even some like Syesha.
I think most of us agree on David Cook but I’ve seen a few anti-Cook posts too.
Kristy’s voter thought Kristy was “safe” because she sang well Tuesday night and Dial Idol did not have her in the “high risk” section. (She was #4 out of 7).
Thinking she was “safe” they crossed over to save Brooke thinking it would send Syesha or Carly home.
Ohhhh...you’re one smart cookie, Tony.
LOL! I think you're right, and someone (probably Monchichi) is going to try one of the big ballads from Phantom.
...where his gnats are more at home.
“Mammaries, where my tattoo’s are stinging
I can screech when I'm singing
Hope you'll vote for me...”
Thanks for the link!
Enjoy!
Carly is not my favorite. She always looks in pain when she sings, and.........is extremely immature. When I hear people talk about David A. being out of his element....Carly doesn't even realize there is an element. I liked her at the beginning, but then she started talking and singing off key.
I still love David A, not too thrilled with David C. I can't understand the words many times. He reminds me of my son-in-law who starts a sentence out strong and is mumbling by the end. That's basically David Cook.
I'm concerned about David A...He has lost his coloring and his spontanaity (sp...I can never spell that word) that he had at the beginning of the season. He is extremely pale and anemic looking. I watched some shows from earlier and the spark is not there now.
It’s an especially tough road for the young ones - don’t forget they have to put in a few hours of schoolwork each day. One also has to wonder how much access the parents have given that he’s a minor - from what I’ve read, his Dad is probably not helping his situation if he’s allowed lots of input.
He's the one I thought should win from the start, if winning could be a 'good' thing, which I'm not sure it is. I mean because it ties them up with AI for so long and they can sabotage you if they want to as we've seen before.
‘Idol’ Brother’s Uplifting Trip
http://extratv.warnerbros.com/2008/04/idol_brothers_uplifting_trip.php
“Idol” hopeful David Cook sang Mariah Carey’s “Always Be My Baby” this week for his ill brother, Adam, who is undergoing chemotherapy for brain cancer — and Adam is talking about how the inspiring trip changed his perception.
“I am blown away,” Adam said in an interview with B1027.FM — the Terre Haute, Indiana radio station that helped arrange his trip to Los Angeles. “The support of this community made this possible, it literally just lifted my spirits to know I’m from Terre Haute,” said the awestruck Adam.
The VIP trip seems to have brightened Adam’s spirits. The station’s midday host Julie Henricks said, “This has just been incredible for the family... Adam hadn’t wanted to get out of the house in three weeks. Now, he’s out sightseeing in Los Angeles. [His wife] Kendra says Adam is a different person.”
Even the judges were inspired by Adam’s strength in flying out for the show. Kendra told the station, “Paula came over and when Adam stuck out his hand, she said, ‘No, I want a hug.’ And Simon came over after the show and said, ‘You should be very proud of your brother. He’s a very nice man. You’re welcome here anytime.’”
American Idol’s David Cook may be getting rave reviews now, but some knew about his talents long before Idol ever existed. Cook credits his Blue Springs elementary school music teacher with encouraging him to sing a solo and FOX 4 has the exclusive video of David’s entire performance.
David Cook’s 5th Grade Solo Performance
LOL! That's perfect :)
Yes, I posted an article about that the other day. Not exactly the actions of a conceited egotistical maniac, that some portray him as, is it?
Oh my goodness.......I forgot about the schoolwork during the day. What is it? Around 3 hours or so? I would imagine that his school supplies the curriculum. I can’t imagine studying for tests and all. Just a few more weeks and school should be out for him. Hope he lasts that long.
I love brooke, but there is no way in this entertainment world she's an AI. She has not got wide ranging appeal and her genre market is not broad enough. Brook can not sing anything and make is stick like David Cook can. Why, and I hope I'm wrong, David can arrange and write, where I don't think Brooke is as talented in this area.
Where David Cook really shows his talent is in his ear for unique (and original) solid arrangements. This alone is why he should definately make it big time in the music biz as an artist. Brooke can do this in a certain way (You're So Vain, Love Is A Battefield, Let It Be) but it's only within a smaller marketable genre.
David Art or Carley...if they don't totally blow it, win AI only because they could appeal to a broader market. The surprise would be Cook or Brooke winning it all.
