As far as Michael Johns, someone who has never been in the bottom three as opposed to (cough cough KRISTY/carly), leaving that was complete utter crap. America got it wrong on that one. BIG TIME!!! For me without one of the best singers not in the competition it is kinda pointless to watch.
I'm not sure why so many are complaining about the Christain songs. If it were reversed and only muslim songs praising Allah were sung, nobody, especially in this thread would complain about it, one little bit. /sarcasm
Ryan was like that LONG before Simon's comments as evidenced by this article.
American Idol Fans Outraged Over Seacrests Cruelty To Michael Johns
Over the years, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has often come up with some very twisted and shocking ways to reveal which contestants has been eliminated on American Idol. With the American Idol results show running an entire hour, its Seacrests job to keep the show lively and interesting.
However, many American Idol fans are outraged over Ryan Seacrests comments during the elimination of Idol finalist Michael Johns. In what could be Seacrests cruelest tease ever on American Idol, he said, That means Michael has the lowest number of votes this week. Now, last year during Idol Gives Back, we didnt eliminate anybody at this stage of the competition.
I didn't pay any attention to her what soever, so I have no idea what her comments were about. When I see her, all I see is sunken cheeks, bulging eyes and big teeth. Geeze I just realized that pretty much describes Jeff Dunham's dummy Achmed the Dead Terrorist. :/
She quoted Gandhi and said some Hopi Indian prayer. I was shocked at how irritating her voice was...I don’t remember it being that bad when she was on the air.
Au contraire! There is only one Constantine, for better or worse.
Now that you mention it, I do remember reading a post about her quoting Ghandi and the hopi prayer, though I would hardly put them in the same category as a song praising Allah. I've always found Shriver to be annoying. Can't say that I've ever watched any show that she hosted.
You mean he wasn't? What other hits did he have?

Not the best look is it?
Your reviews are hilarious must-reads. And since I am reading so late, I can say WOW: you predicted the bottom 3 exactly!
I agree that America got it right this week. Screesha looks so shocked that her beautiful face and voice are not enough in this world, because so far in life they obviously have been. Tat chick was SMILING her “Aren’t I brilliant” smile DURING parts of the song that were written with Freddie Mercury’s dying blood, for gosh sakes. She should have purchased a clue with her new wardrobe. (And sleeves.) And poor Michael, he copied that song exactly, worked so hard at his Steven Tyler impression. How did that not wow us?
Keep your reviews coming.
Seriously, we should be all over things like charitable giving, as long as it’s not corrupt. Americans giving from their easy chairs voluntarily (without guilt or love for one another, no one would ever give) is what we as conservatives should cherish. I am pro- Idol Gives Back. We don’t have The Simpsons Give Back or The View Gives Back, now do we????
Now Paula can take him (Michaeljohns) home with her legally!
No pimp spot — alphabetical. Clinton, McCain, Obama.
Your review made me start thinking. There may be an intelligence factor to Idol after all. Possibly not in the voters, but surely in the performers. Those who can’t understand decent song choice or that they need a (shock of shocks) actual personality may not be on the top of the evolutionary ladder. Those not smart enough to shake it up with song choices, use the audience and camera, have emotion and attitude IN their songs rather than afterward, may be weeded out.
Well...maybe Kristy Lee is a cross between Pickler and Degarmo. She’s a “dark horse” like Degarmo, but if she goes home early I agree that she’ll make it on the country scene much like Kelly Pickler. (Only Kristy’s not as funny as our Gherkin!)
I wonder if she’ll come on Idol next year with a pair of new assets?
Oh...that’s soooo bad!
I think you’re on to something there.
Jason is a throwback to a simpler time, when musicians told stories and wove spells.
