Yes, they are also bug killer, heavy lifters, and tire fillers. ;-)
Oh and purse holders while we shoe shop.

Michael Johns has been cut!He didn't fit the show's voting demographic. Too old at 29, nearly 30. He also never quite found his stride on this show. :(

I think MJ is potentially in trouble...went first, shares a fan base with DC who also really struggled...You called it right, I think.

Wow....that was the shocker of the year!
I was almost 100% sure Syesha was going home. That darn dreadlock kid must have taken votes from Englebert.
That was pretty crass of Seacrest by giving MJ false hope and slamming him hard at the end.
So much for Idol “gives back.”

It was your posting this “A little scoop from MJ’s Big Blog...could it be Carly???
...However, for you conspiracy theorists out theresomebody at Idol Forums heard Nigel give an interview on Sirius radio this morning, and this is what he said (paraphrased by the poster at IDF):
Tonight’s results might surprise quite a few people and reminds people that its important that the singers do well each week and that someone can be riding high at the top of the pack and the next week be gone. He mentioned Constantine who had never been in the bottom 3 and had been a star with BR and then just like that he was eliminated
”
That led to me to post my reply after that about it being MJ...The tip off to me was the shock and not in the B3...
Carly had been B3 and everyone knew she was in trouble after this week’s performance...
Whereas MJ went early, wasn’t great, and split votes with the person who probably really was in the most danger, DC.
Too bad...MJ was far more likeable to me than DC, although DC was a better performer.

I’m going to drown my sorrows in fresh berries and a Lifetime movie.

That too. Next season we need to somehow mobilize the over 21 female vote. Because last year there was some hot guy whose name I don’t remember who got cut really early and we were left with Phil “Nosferatu” Stacy. Then he was cut and we were left with Blake and his questionable preference.

I thought it but was lying to myself. ;) I guess he doesn’t have the masses voting for him like the kids.

He will get a recording contract and he most likely will out sell any of the leftovers.
I personally feel that you’re not in the best position if you actually win AI.
Let Monkey Boy win this year and let David Cook come in second.
Both David’s will end up selling the most CD’s in the long run.
To: retrokitten
Now we can just say, "He's so David Cook" and we'll all now it means arrogant, smug and pompous. I like it :)
At the end of the show tonight, while the judges were hugging Michael, it looked like David was saying "Can we go? Can we go now?" But I'm not positive about that.

And he had too many forgetable performances whereas David Cook took over as the dominant MALE (not kiddie mush) singer.
I thought he might stay a few weeks longer but that’s it. You raised a good point a few weeks back that if he was really THAT good then he would have established himself long ago.

And then having the kids sing "We Are the World" on top of it. Hooooboy. At least they didn't bring back Maria Sriver with her Ghandi quotes and Hope prayers.

Yes, you were right about his not making it years ago. Maybe he wanted it too much. I think he was shocked.
