Good! Are you watching this Moment of Truth show? I cant believe the questions they ask. They got the woman to admit that she woke up with a guy whose name she couldnt remember. If thats not bad enough, it was in front of her mom!!
Sometimes the parents act so surprised by the answers and you can't help but wonder how naieve they really are!?
I liked the last update. Glad that gal left him and he lost his job, too. But, he has no regrets..... :)

Got a question for you two. You two sometimes discuss off the wall movies (those that get little acclaim), One or two *'s. The Golden Boots one comes to mind.
Do you choose to rent them on purpose or is it by accident? Have either of you watched the Great Lebowski, Blue Velvet, Lake Placid 2, or the Vault?

Here comes the rain!! Hopefully the power stays on. I think from everyone using their air, we keep losing power but just for a minute or so here and there. Just long enough that you have to reset the clocks on everything.
I have this new phone/answering machine and when you plug it in or the power comes back on, it says, “To set the time, please press whatever button...” and it scare the crap out of me every time! LOL!!

There's a Lake Placid 2? I saw the first Lake Placid. I don't know why they would make a sequel.
The Big Lebowski is my least favorite Coen Brothers movie. I just don't like all the cussing. I'm a prude :)

It is. She said that she deserves someone better looking then her current boyfriend and he's sitting right there! I don't have much sympathy for the contestants. Their spouses, families or girl/boy friends have no control over what the contestants do.
I think it takes a certain type of person to go on the show. They are for the most part, very superficial and show their greed for money being more important to them than their friends, family, spouses, jobs etc. I think it exposes them tremendously. Exibitionists that 'need' to expose their dirtly laundry on national television (maybe international)
No gender bias, both maleas and females in the hot seat come off as pigs.
My folks used to own a bar and the show reminds me of that a little, in that with the bar you watched a train wreck as people drink, get drunk and fall apart before your eyes. They do the same on this show, the difference being that they are supposedly sober.
I would imagine psycholgists and those that study human behavior are in their glory with this show.

Just saw a crawl at the bottom of the screen--we're still under a thunderstorm watch until 11 tonight :-/
All quiet right now though.

I’ve had to reset my clocks to much the past week, I have decided that the next time I go shopping, I am buying one of those clocks that automatically resets itself.

Do you choose to rent them on purpose or is it by accident?I know you didn't mean it funny, but that question is cracking me up! "Girl in the Gold Boots? What the...I meant to get Spiderman 2!"
That one was a Mystery Science Theater 3000 movie, so I definitely got it on purpose. :-)
I do like offbeat sort of movies. I guess they would be called "mainstream indie" films. Of the ones you've mentioned I've only seen The Big Lebowski. I really like the Cohen Bros. I'm not a movie snob in the least, though. I can't wait for Batman and The X-Files. I wasn't really interested in Hellboy 2 (didn't see 1) until I saw the guy who directed Pan's Labyrinth was involved. That movie was amazing. Sorta gross (I almost passed out at what happened to the general, I won't ruin it if you haven't seen it, but it's gross).
The only problem with indie films is that either men are going to kiss at some point or there will be the grossest, most violent thing you can think of and not just for a minute. They keep pounding you with the grossness!

Oh! I have one of those! It’s great! It’s a battery operated atomic alarm clock. It was only $14 or $15 at Wal-Mart. It was the best money I spent when I moved.

I have to confess that I like Lake Placid. I don't really know why, I just do. I kept reading about the 2nd one, for over a year, and just noticed it at Blockbuster 2 weeks ago, so we rented it. The reviews were really bad for it, but I wanted to see it anyway.
It's pretty bad and follows the first a lot, but, they went a little overboard with all the deaths.
I didn't like the Great Lebowski at all. I have no idea why it is considered a classic or why it gets so many stars and acclaim. I thought it stunk.
Another I kept hearing about was Frailty. Finally saw it on tv and see it shows up now and then. That was pretty good.
I just get so discouraged trying to rent decent movied. You listen to the critics rave about a movie, rent it, only to find it reeks. I wish they would have to put 'crap movie' warnings on bad movies, just like they have to put R or PG on them. I hate wasting money on crap movies.

The Big Lebowski is my least favorite Coen Brothers movie.I'll take Raising Arizon over The Big Lebowski, especially since all the stoners have fallen in love with it for some reason.
