Are you doing it cold turkey? It’s haaaard! I never really smoked, but my dad and brother both quit. My dad’s actually been smoke-free for about 10 years.
My brother has tried to quit numerous times and he finally has had good results with Chantix (not sure how that’s spelled). But he’s been off cigarettes and cigars for about a year.
IF she works at it she’ll probably keep the weight off. I worked with a gal about 40 years ago and she was huge, had to have back surgery and drs told her lose weight or be in a wheelchair, she joined weight watchers and lost approx 140 lbs, went ao family reunion and nobody knew her.
LMAO!!!
Did you hear that they are making a new Muppet movie? The article I read said, "It will include Sam the Eagle."
quitting cold turkey, from 3 1/2 packs a day to nothing, my hubby quit in ‘92 and never smoked again and he had smoked for a really long time
Wow! That’s incredible. When I finally get to my goal weight (at the rate I’m going it will sometime around 2035), I’d like to be a meeting leader.
Before you know it, those no-good teenagers will be pedaling a Sam The Eagle sex tape :)
hope you get there, as strange as it sounds this gal’s former nephew moved next door to me several years ago and when he told me his last name I asked if he was related to her and he said she divorced his uncle a few years after she lost the weight cause she thought she looked too good to be with him but she has kept the weight off
when those no good teenagers stop me I’ll probably watch sam the eagle tape
LOL!
You can do it! My dad said for him the hardest part was breaking the habit of having to smoke at a certain time, like after dinner or taking a break at work. You seem like such a strong lady, I have no doubt you can do it.
ROTFL!!
I can't even think of a reply because I am laughing too hard.
LMAO!
your dad is so right, I get in the car and automatically reach for a smoke or early in the morning with a cup of coffee. but it just costs so much to smoke anymore and my husband died on March 21 and I have a disabled daughter that lives with me and she was crying and worried that sinceI smoked I was gonna die and leave her alone so I thought it’s time to quit, I dont’ want her worrying like that
Ouch. That’s cold of her. That happened to my mom’s friend’s son. He was dating and she lost a bunch of weight on Jenny Craig. She got thin and dumped him. Then she gained the weight back and wanted him back! Thankfully he did not take her back.
good for him, he shouldn’t even think about taking her back
Awww...poor girl. I’m sure she’s so proud of you for quitting!
she’s thrilled, she called most of her brothers and sisters and told them “mom quit smoking for me”, and I can sure use the $400 a month I’ll save this way
Wow! That's like a monthly payment on a really nice car.
Wow, I didn't have that problem.
ROFL
