I can’t tell you how much I miss American Idol.
I watched a little of the show and saw that part. They guy really isn't very good.
Oh I believe it. I miss everyone getting together.
No he’s not. He’s just there for eye candy.
Cook, Sparks and Underwood Nominated for Teen Choice Awards

It ain’t exactly the Grammy’s, but a Teen Choice Award is nothing to sneeze at, especially when you consider the list of nominees includes such varied personalities as Mark Wahlberg, Jake Gyllenhaal, Reese Witherspoon, Harrison Ford, Robert Downey Jr and David Beckham.
Oh yeah — Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron are on the list as well.
American Idol winner David Cook picked up a nomination for “Choice TV: Male Reality/Variety Star” — he’ll compete with Brody Jenner (The Hills), Rob Dyrdek and Christopher Boykin (Rob & Big ),
Ryan Scheckler (Life of Ryan) and The Jabbawockeez (America’s Best Dance Crew).
Jordin Sparks, meanwhile, is up for “Choice Music: Single”) against such stiff competition as Madonna, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, Flo Rida, Lil’ Mama, Nelly and duet partner Chris Brown. Jordin is also nominated for “Choice Music: Breakout Artist” and “Choice Music: Love Song” (for “No Air).
And don’t forget awards favorite Carrie Underwood — though her songs didn’t pick up any nods, she grabbed a nomination for “Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon Female.”
American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Survivor and The Amazing Race also picked up nominations in the multitude of Reality TV categories.

Simon Cowell got rich by appearing on America’s top-rated TV show. Can he build a business that will outlast his own fame?
On a cool Tuesday night in Hollywood, things are already going wrong for Simon Cowell. On the way to the American Idol set from his Beverly Hills home he had to abandon his $1.6 million Bugatti on the street because he was running out of gas and couldn’t find one of two stations that sell racing fuel. The dealership stepped in with a Rolls-Royce loaner. But now the makeup artist is running late, and Cowell, lounging shirtless in his trailer, starts to get annoyed.
Things get worse when the live show starts. Mellow dreadlocked singer Jason Castro butchers a version of Bob Marley’s “I Shot the Sheriff.” Judges Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul are clearly unhappy with the performance. But the 23 million Americans watching at home wait to hear Cowell.
“That was utterly atrocious,” he says, delivering the expected slash line. “This was like a first-round-audition massacre. I don’t know what you’re thinking.” Mix a cranky Cowell with a terrible act and you get great TV. The crowd boos but knows Cowell is right. The next night Castro is voted off the show.
His harsh putdowns and bravado

Excellent article, thanks for posting it. :)
Thanks for posting that article!
I’m killing time until Hell’s Kitchen comes on watching American Film Institutes’s 10 Top 10. Right now they are doing top fantasy movies.
I’m such a girl. I got teary when Kevin Costner asked his dad if he wanted to play catch and when George Bailey was praying. 90% of movies are garbage, but sometimes they get a few right.
Oh I forgot that was on. I was watching that awful Moment of Humiliation show on FOX, lol
I got teary when Kevin Costner asked his dad if he wanted to play catch
That get's me too.
"Wanna have a catch?"
It’s one of those movies that leaves no one spared from tears. I don’t know why it was in fantasy movies and not sports movies?
They are doing sports movies now and no Slap Shot yet?
I like It’s a Wonderful Life, it makes you stop and think.
And is Caddyshack really a “sports” movie? I’d label it as a comedy.
Yes, it does. That’s another one that leaves no one spared from tears.
Hell’s Kitchen would be a lot more interesting if Jen wasn’t on it, LOL :)
Yeah, I am with you. Their categories are a little odd. In the intro they were showing Harry Potter and I thought that would be in the fantasy movies, but it wasn’t. AFI, you dirty tease! ;-)
Where did they put Harry Potter, romantic drama? LOL
I swear they are only keeping her for ratings. During the commercial I switched back to the 10 Top 10 just in time to see “The Pride of the Yankees.” That’s a great one, too. Plus it has Babe Ruth playing himself.
Aw, if Jen wasn’t there, who would they hate complain about and plot against? She’s there for drama. I like how Ramsey told her to ‘cook her heart out’.
