Wow! With all the storms, it’s got to be sweltering with humidity, too. Hopefully we won’t see that high for a while.

I sure was cussing my dog when she just had to go out today about 1:00, wish she would wait until dark
To: Cudjo
Yeah, that’s why I have cats.
Growing up, we didn’t have a/c. We waited til dark to do all our chores.

I was wondering why FR is running a little slow and there is a live thread about some McCain speech. I totally missed it. LOL

I’m running a Norton virus scan now. Some of this crap is so insidious that even though Norton can identify it, it won’t allow Norton to delete it.

I was lucky, my dad was in the air cond business when it first started so by the late 40’s he rigged up a real strange set up and we had icy cold air all over our house, neighborhood kids loved to come in and feel the cold air, I remember my dad and mom upset with our $20.00 elect bill
To: retrokitten

Norton is on the computer I’m trying to fix, I would leave Norton on but they won’t let me have any updates or give me any help on it, they just keep reminding me that we have 152 days left on it
To: silent_jonny
Holy cow. Where did you go? One of my coworkers got a really nasty virus from CNN.com of all places.

I would be thrilled to death with a $20 elect bill, even $80 would seem small
To: retrokitten
I disconnected for a few minutes—I thought I would have to restart my computer, but then I thought that might activiate whatever this bug is and make everything worse. So I’m letting Norton have a shot at it first. Takes about ten minutes to run a scan ...

I have a teeny apartment. Electric is the one thing we have in IL that’s relatively cheap.
