That is a Nubian Goat, my favorite and they have the richest milk and lots of it.

I have owned Nubians, that would give a full 2 gallons of milk a day.

You have no idea how badly I want to have and be able to take care of goats again.

In the past, I always said that if i could have only one animal make it a goat, you can talk to them and they will talk right back.

They are smart and aware of odd dangers....

You can drink the milk, or if there is nothing else to eat, they say they taste good.......LOL, I never tried the meat, we had beef and pork and I wasn’t interested in eating my milk stock.

Lucy, a nubian, would go for a walk with me at night, but she would not go out of the cone of light, that the street light we had installed in the middle of our property, about 400’ foot of the light, she would stop at the edge of the light and chatter at me, until I came back.

She was right of course, as snakes were a real danger and also dope smugglers and illegals.

When my niece got suddenly very ill and the local Doctor did not know what was wrong with her, said she needed tests that he could not do, in a small town office.

We called Diana to come and get her.

Mitzi opened the trailer door, [magnetic latch] and came in, she went to where Angela was laying on the couch, and she sniffed the air all the way around her, then turned to me and started talking.

If I had not known that Angela had a high fever and was very sick, I would have after Mitzi told me.

They never did find out what was wrong with her.

I have wanted to raise stock animals for a long time, probably ever since I read Heidi as a young girl LOL.

Here are some more pictures:

This is Nubian dairy goat is named Valentina. She is a registered Nubian dairy goat. She was the mother of triplet bucks this yr. She is one of our top producing Nubian goat does.

This is my baby Velvet. She is a registered Nubian goat Doe. She was raised by me. She doesn't know she is a goat, she is more like a dog. I guess she spent too much time with our border collie female who would bathe her daily.

This is our Sophia. She is also a registered Nubian dairy goat. She is so sweet. She is always at the gate waiting for me to pet her.

I guess the dogs learn to get along with the goats? The GoatFinder website had a listing for renting goats to clear grass and shrubs to reduce fire danger. Every summer the owner of the mobile home park has to mow for days to clear all the grass (14 acres!). Such a waste! If he'd fence better, he could use goats, but then the owner is kinda busy or odd or lazy or something.
The minimal barbed wire fence he has wouldn't keep them in, I bet. 10th
