So, with gasolene prices bobbing up and down. And the economy also bobbing! When and what will it take to get rel action n Aternative energy?Nikola tesla(1856-1943) had the answer more then a 100 years ago! That of broadcasting wirelessly eletric power! He even set up a braodcasting tower for this at Wardecylle,Long Island(Now Shoreham, L.I.) But when he mentioned FREE ELECTRIOC POWER to hs financial backer the great Robber Baron J.P. Morga. Whos meatered eletric power intreste would have been ruined. The money was removed and Tesla went into a life long debt!To honor Dr. Tesla in 2005 and 2006 I organized the GLOBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY held every July 10th the birthdate anniversary of Dr tesla. To rembewr Tesla and promote ALTERNATIVE ENERGY AND FUELS,VeHICLES. See the Tesla memorial Society www.teslasociety.com And Pure Energy Systems A Community Built Alternative energy site www.Peswiki.comNikola Tesla/GloBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY. No!!!!! What is neeeded is REAL ACTIO NOW!!!! Perhaps at least a Day to rember Nikola tesla And PROMTING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY is one way to do this?
Eh... maybe. We could probably just park on the other side of Jupiter for a while.
I’d like them to say, “Who the HE!! is THAT?”
From what I saw, there is no threat. I mean, when it happens, we won’t know until it hits. Honest. And if we DO know, wtf can we do to change it?
Man...that’s a long way to go....Jupiter....
Tesla was a genius. I’ve often wondered if the story of making that ship and its crew disappear during WW2 really happened. They say all legends have a basis in fact.
It’s 8000 light years away, so it may have already happened and we’re just waiting to observe it.
The late “Igor,” who spent 26 years active navy, said the “story was “true.”
The qualifiers were that the men who talked about it were reluctant to divulge details (in fear of ridicule) and that the ones who didn’t care about ridicule were afraid of repercussions.
The details may never be known, but I, for one, believe it happened and that we are capable of much more, today.
MAN?
I could have gone all year without hearing that. Besides the fact that he is multi-talented, he’s a fine figure of a man.
I lost a brother to pancreatic cancer. The oncologists opened him in order to assess the damage and said he “had weeks to live.” He lingered for 14 months.
If Mr. Swayze has to go, I hope it’s quick, not just for his sake, but for his family’s sake as well.
Poor Guy. PC killed my grandma—she only lived a few weeks after they found it.
Ya never get out of this world alive, but I try to “justify” that by saying this: If you don’t suffer here, you will suffer in the Hereafter.
I know of NO ONE who has ever made it through life without struggle. Those who struggle the hardest will be the ones who have less to bear.
But that’s only my OPINION! Don’t take that puppy to the bank!
Back in the day when my dad died, autopsies were only for rich people or those who died suddenly, and even then, it had to be at the family’s request.
We “think” he died of liver cancer, since he was a painter (from childhood, he was exposed to lead-based paint) and worked with chelated lead on a somewhat daily basis. In the end, it was listed as “pneumonia,” because he just never recoverd from his last relapse.
Death is never pleasant to observe. But it is just another Step in the way to Eternity.
"Political Correctness" is gonna kill us all! Wake up, America!
Oh, you meant pancreatic cancer ... Um, never mind ...
Life just plumb ain’t fair, is it?
And with that, I’m gone.
I remember when I was a kid-my Grandfather taught me to read early-was reading before I even started school. He was fascinated with the unexplained, and subscribed to Argosy, TRUE, and a bunch of other mags that investigated things back in the 40s and 50s-bigfoot, UFOs, etc. He had saved some clippings. They were taken from the local newspaper, and had to do with sailors disappearing in front of witnesses in some bar somewhere. It was poo-pooed by the local authorities as a hoax. I also read in some of those magazines letters they got from somebody claiming the same thing happened to former crew members of the ship-they’d disappear into another dimension, or be half-stuck in a solid object. Brrr. Makes you think.
That could have been the genesis of at least one “Star Trek: The Next Generation” episodes.
In reality, some “crews” were formed by causing able bodies to disappear from taverns. They woke up on ship.
“Shanghaiing” was the term.
Welcome aboard the Flying Castle!
Mine isn't, but I've grown used to it, and it could be much worse. Vassar Clements is dead, after all.
Did you make it to Mesa, AZ, or are you still feeling poorly?
You’re right, Tesla was a genius. Someday there may be more practical relevance to that fact ... my electric co-op doesn’t seem to have larned anything :-).
Goodnight, all. Tomorrow, you know, is the Fall of the Alamo. I will sing, but you all won’t be able to hear me.
I’d fly my Texas flag at half-staff, but we’ve been here 4-1/2 year and Der Prinz still hasn’t put up a flagpole. I think I’ll ask Mom for one for my birthday!
