So, with gasolene prices bobbing up and down. And the economy also bobbing! When and what will it take to get rel action n Aternative energy?Nikola tesla(1856-1943) had the answer more then a 100 years ago! That of broadcasting wirelessly eletric power! He even set up a braodcasting tower for this at Wardecylle,Long Island(Now Shoreham, L.I.) But when he mentioned FREE ELECTRIOC POWER to hs financial backer the great Robber Baron J.P. Morga. Whos meatered eletric power intreste would have been ruined. The money was removed and Tesla went into a life long debt!To honor Dr. Tesla in 2005 and 2006 I organized the GLOBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY held every July 10th the birthdate anniversary of Dr tesla. To rembewr Tesla and promote ALTERNATIVE ENERGY AND FUELS,VeHICLES. See the Tesla memorial Society www.teslasociety.com And Pure Energy Systems A Community Built Alternative energy site www.Peswiki.comNikola Tesla/GloBAL ENERGY INDPENDENCE DAY. No!!!!! What is neeeded is REAL ACTIO NOW!!!! Perhaps at least a Day to rember Nikola tesla And PROMTING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY is one way to do this?

Still afternoon here. Sky is a funny color, baby blue, and there’s this horribly bright yellow light coming down, trying to kill our carefully cultivated moss.

What happened to the rain we were supposed to be getting? Not sure - haven't checked up on the weather sites, but the EVIL YELLOW FACE is definitely shining on us, a dozen or so miles due East of Ground Zero Seattle.
Where's my rain? I want my rain....

It's not raining in Seattle? Stop the presses.... It almost stopped Hollywood.
There was a movie being filmed down here last week at Pike's Place Market, and they needed rain. Guess what? No rain. If it hadn't rained the second day, they would have had to "create" it.
That would have been really embarrassing.

Bummer indeed.
Some explorational milestones can never be equalled or surpassed.
The concept of the Clarke Orbit runs rings around anything any of the rest of us might think up.

Done with a bit of reading from the “Tales from the White Hart” would seem to be appropriate.

Molecular Sieve A device that can extract any element from seawater.
Clarke begins the story by pointing out that a cubic mile of sea water contains millions of tons of dissolved minerals - how best to get at them, when there are only about fifty pounds of gold per cubic mile?
I put some of my young men to work and they have made what we call a 'molecular sieve.' ... It depends on very advanced wave-mechanical theories for its operation, but what it actually does is absurdly simple. We can choose any component of sea water we like, and get the sieve to take it out. With several units, working in series, we can take out one element after another. The efficiency's quite high, and the power consumption negligible.
From Tales from the White Hart, by Arthur C. Clarke.
Published by Ballantine Books in 1957
"This device comes from the short story
The Man Who Ploughed The Sea, which was published in 1957 with the publication of Clarke's third collection of short stories Tales From The White Hart."
The astute follower of the Undead Thread will recognize this concept. We fueled our Gas-Cooled-Nuclear-Reactor/Rocket Engines with Uranium gleaned from the ocean currents in preparation to go into space, using equipment designed around this principle.
