"Where is Calvin and Hobbes when you need them?"Sigh. I dunno what Calvin and Hobbs are doing but this is a bye week for our Bayou kitties so they'll have a little extra time to get it together before the Auburn game.

BTW, Tom Sylvest is a very clever (and generous) local artist with a fun website called: Tiger Toons

Well, our young Qb got a concussion, and we outplayed and yet lost to a very good team at their stadium. I think they beat you in the bowl game last year, and they're even better this year.
Oh well (wound licking up here as well), things are looking up, but I doubt we'll get to a New Year's bowl this year, but it's pretty clear that a team as young as ours is going to quickly be very good.
At least some of us don't have to resort being humiliated by rooting for those Georgia teams.......

hmmmm, no not last year. You're thinking of the 2005 Capital One Bowl when Iowa pulled off a miracle long pass on the last play of the game. That game, BTW, was the last game Saban coached at LSU.
Sorry about your QB and your loss. Like UM, we have a lot of young talent and hopefully they'll begin executing the plays as well as we know they can before the season is over.

Oops, right, that was South Carolina last year. Beat them 31-10. Do you play SC this year?

Nope, no SC this year. Next up is Auburn followed by Tulane both games in BR, then Alabama in Tuscaloosa, then in BR for Homecoming against Louisina Tech, Ole Miss at Oxford, Arkansas in BR Thanksgiving weekend. Finally, hopefully, in Atlanta for the SEC Championship game. :)

Doesn't Fla. have to lose twice in the conference along with LSU being undefeated to go to the conference game? If so, that's a tall order.
Perhaps Outback or Capital One Bowl is your best hope. And those are bowls for good teams. Some great games there between great teams.

FOFLOL. Since I don't have an emoticon for tongue in cheek comments I thought you might realize I was simply being absurd. C'mon, sharky, you're experienced in deciphering what I mean.

Speaking of absurd! Agreed, I love all the pets I’ve ever owned and support several pet organizations but.... sheesh! Surely, Rep. McCotter could find better, more productive ways to justify his taxpayer paid salary.

No, I haven't and have no plans to go to any. I simply hate crowds of that size and the traffic jams before and afterwards. Always have. We have a group of friends who feel the same so we alternate hosting parties before and during each home and away game. Sort of, At Home Tailgaiting. :) Lots of TVs set up, plenty of great food, good company and no traffic hassles. For me, its a much better way to enjoy the game.
Of course, for really big games, like bowl games, when I often have access to skyboxes I find a way to amend my way of thinking. LOL

We go once every couple of years. We know ways to avoid major traffic, plus the spectacle of being in the most attended sporting event anywhere is too hard to pass up. The whole massive tailgate outside the stadium stuff, the bands, the warm ups, it's just a wonderful time. We plan to go to one late in the year.
Lately we do at home tailgating using a DVR. Start the game an hour late, fast forward through the ads and halftime. More time for partying before and after as well! No one who comes is allowed to look at game scores early........

Sharks got distracted by interesting splashes.Snakeses attempting to dungeonize you and furry marmots building dams and gnawing sticks can do that to you. I hear if you try to pet them, they go berserk and get all over you.
Part of my strategy to get them into the water...........
