From the messages I’ve received from around the world, this Prez seems to be widely accepted.

How I hope he does well.

Good morning Ringy. Just a note on one of your posts:

How I hope he does well.

Not to put a damper on things, but I hope America does well in spite of him, and that he gets very little of what he wants to do. This man appears to me to be a slick demagogue of the kind that will use his fake popularity to make our country incapable of doing well economically or maintain our strength in the world. His policies seem to be the antithesis of what we need to do those things, so I will simply oppose them, and him.

If he changes his mind and isn't so crazy, maybe we'll get through this with our sanity, but I wouldn't bet on that yet.

I know. We seem to be headed toward dark places. I can’t bear thinking about it. Sorry if my optimism grates but I just can’t seem to wrap my mind around all of this.

Up close, in person, the details of her dress might have been lovely but it sure didn’t photograph that way and the style was a bad choice for her. It was inexcusable that she chose a dress that she was unable to wear properly. She has great toned arms, that is true, but she has terrible posture and walks like she is wearing combat boots. Her husband is tall so there is no need to schlump along, she ought to use her height to her advantage. This woman had the full transition period, around 75 days, to select her inaugural wardrobe then become comfortable wearing it. The transitition is more than just picking out clothes, I understand that, but she now has “people” lots and lots of “people” at her disposal for the legwork, research, screening, etc. For her first appearances on the world stage, as the wife of the president, she could have done better..... much better.

I love optimism, I try hard to not let this stuff get me down, try hard to look for good things.

I also want to be careful what I am optimistic about. It has to be something good, true, and right. None of which has much to do with Obama's past and his own words of what he wants to do.

I do hope he changes his mind and governs as a moderate, but am ready to fight (optimistically!) if he doesn't.

I didn't see it... and from the sond of it, its probably just as well. I got tied up early with several calls to several times zones and by the time I finished the prayer service was finished. Let me look around the web for pics so we can dish. LOL

I know this much, she could appear in a burlap bag and we would hear how "fresh, optimistic, original, trendsetting" she is. The MSM, news, entertainment, fashion, are infatuated, stomach turningly infatuated. You'd have to be thunderstruck to praise that cornfield camo thing she wore yesterday or that wedding cake in the rain thing last night.

I understand Sharky, I really do.

I just don’t know how to reach people when our schools are liberal, secular, socialist/marxist, and revisionist history of America. I don’t know how to reach people when our nations media becomes a voice for the weird, crazy, vulgar, and party members of the democrats. Most every publication is slanted so left, our tv programs, movies, etc., are become so politicized I can’t think what to compare it to.

How do you reach people who get their news and views from MTV and SNL?

Thank God for the internet. It saves what sanity I have.

I have enjoyed seeing their propaganda machine ignore the stock market slide (worst in inaugural history), ignore any and all things not Obama. It’s been nice to see Israel given a break and the media to just, in general, quit bit#hing about every single thing on earth.

Obama has suspended hearings on those horrible terrorist in Gitmo. Hasn’t said what HE intends to do with them. All of this is ignore. Oh, just so many things aren’t right, I simply must try to find a few things I can focus on that aren’t so horribly gross.

Astoundingly enough, this Prez is popular. I don’t understand but there it is. As long as more than half our Country is behind this guy, I dunno.

I think alot of movies, long, long trips abroad (while we can still travel) and any other diversions I can think of are on my personal agenda.

I’m thinking we will have to give up. After that mess at church this a.m., I’ve pretty well written it off. Again, it is what it is.

Good to see you here.

A little more work on her triceps is needed. Oh, I said I was giving up, didn’t I? ROFLOL.
