Oh, well... not easy to find much in the wedding in the press but ....

The Dress and the wedding party

The guest list only numbers about 200 for the outdoor ceremony and reception at the ranch in Crawford. Oscar de la Renta designed her gown. Jenna has described it as a simple yet elegant dress of silk organza, with embroidery and matte beading. Her sister Barbara is her maid of honor.

"For the bridesmaids, (14 bridesmaids) New York designer Lela Rose, a native of Dallas, has made silk crinkle chiffon, cocktail-length dresses all adorned with handmade chiffon flowers. There are seven different styles of dresses in seven different colors that match the palate of Texas wildflowers — blues, greens, lavenders and pinky reds — that currently are in bloom.

"No two girls will be in the same dress," said Rose, whose father and Bush were general managing partners of the Texas Rangers.

The maid of honor will wear a long, shimmering, moonstone blue silk gown with a fluttered open back. "It's very soft blue," Rose said. "It really matches Barbara's eyes." The dress is accented with a silver sash to complement those used for the bridesmaids' dresses."

The Ring

Barbara Bush, Jenna's twin, helped the groom, Henry Hager, make decisions about the ring. The diamond, a Hager family heirloom, was reset in a ring that also features sapphires.

The Groom

Henry Hager is the son of the head of the Republican Party in Virginia and will turn 30 the day after the wedding. He and Jenna met during her father's 2004 re-election campaign. A Wake Forest University graduate and will recieve his masters in business administration later month from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. He has also worked as an aide to Karl Rove and Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez.

Beyond the wedding...

The couple plans to live in a two-bedroom, two-bath town house on the south side of Baltimore where she plans to return to teaching and he will work for Constellation Energy, a power supplier based in Maryland.

A few of the details... real few

The president disclosed this week that Jenna will say "I do" near a lake at the ranch — in front of a giant cross made of Texas limestone that will serve as an altar. The cross will be a landmark at the ranch for years to come.

I'm needing a little techno help and so I've come to my favorite resource with a couple of questions for (pick one) [a] y'all or [b] all of you :)

What search engines, shortcuts, formats, etc do you use on a regular basis? Does the subject matter influence your choice?

Thankyoueversomuch. :) Hugs and smooches

Would you mind explaining or comparing an AND search and/to an OR search, please?

If one wanted to find only articles about John Jacob Jingleheimer Smith, an AND search would only return documents that contained John AND Jacob AND Jingleheimer AND Smith.

A google search would return all documents that contain John OR Jacob OR Jingleheimer OR Smith.

In other words, adding search terms in an AND search narrows down the pile of results to closer and closer to what you actually want.

In a google search, the pile gets deeper and deeper every time you add a word to the narrow the search.

The google hep people I've talked to blandly assure me that this is an AND search - You get every document that has the word John, and every document that has the word Jacob, and every document that has the word Jingleheimer and...

Ok, if you wanted to learn about the work or career of a Dr James Hitzelbeger. Specifically any of his work pertaining to diagnosis of illnesses and or treatments related to the 8th cranial nerve.

I have a precious, way cool, 84 yr old neighbor who has recently lost the hearing in her left ear from an acoustic neuroma, or tumor. The tumor is growing and since she is otherwise fit, her doctors have recommended surgical removal. Dr Hitzelberger performed this surgery on a friend of hers in California approx 8 or 9 years ago.

Anyhow, my neighbor asked me to look up information about this Dr for a second opinion or to read about any research he may have done. I've hit a blank wall. zero, notta, nuttin about the good doc.

Welllllll, first I'd start with the correct name...

Growth of Postoperative Remnants of Unilateral Vestibular Nerve Schwannoma: Role of the Vestibular Ganglion

Differential diagnosis of cerebellopontine angle tumours with special reference to the galvanic test

William E. Hitselberger, M.D.

Nully..... LOL I just gave the correct spelling for the name of the good doctor to my little neighbor. She laughed and said, Well, I spelled it to you as I heard on the phone but as you know, I don't hear very well. LOL

She asked me to thank you very much, she is most grateful. She also wanted me to tell you this information is a good start and should be enough to keep me (meaning Darlin') busy. LOL

Ok, now, for my benefit, from your previous post upthread, I'm guessing you went to Google. So, what steps did you do to determine the correct spelling, etc for this results.

I was afraid you were going to ask that.

I don’t know how I do it. I just do it.

Thank you, nully. I had searched off and on for over a week and couldn’t find a thing. I’d asked her once if she was sure she had the correct spelling, I’d tried entering the various versions of the spelling she gave me on Google just to see if Google would correct me and ask: Do you mean,____________?

SSSSSSigh! Nully! Think! I need to know. It will be of real help to me, too. I'm beginning to do a bit of research on a little project I'm thinking about doing and I'm beginning to realize just how little I know. not a word :)

I have a different take on this.

It's a bit strange, but follow me here. I stopped using Google when they made the deal with China, allowing China to continue to prevent alternate viewpoints other than those from the government of China. That they would do that told me the Google people had moral problems that were huge. Google continues to short shrift anything other than liberal viewpoints on their searches, cutting off conservatives such as Michelle Malkin and others. With their purchase of Youtube, they continued in the same manner, such as allowing Islamic radical sites anything they wanted, yet censoring anti-Islamic sites. There are many more examples of their liberal meddling.

I use Ask as a result. Google may have some good points, but their politics suck, and they play hard at it.

Thanks for the info, sharky and nully. My apologies for the delayed reply. :) Things have been sooooo busy lately, too much so. But, some worthwhile projects have been finished and finally I'll have some time of my own again. Yippeeee.

K, now, everyone, :) Other than the website(s) you use most often to search, do you have/use any particular or favorite techniques/shortcuts to narrow/define your search. he/he :)

For example, I often use the minus (-)or plus (+)sign in searches.
