I’m the “Audrey Hepburn “ type.
Yes, Doris Day is still alive. Contribute to the Humane Society. She is all about the welfare of dogs.
Uh huh. 5 hours 6 minutes and 24 seconds, my dear rodent...
My Mother loved Loretta Young and wore clothes by the same designer when she could get them and had them made when she could not.
One of my favorite outfits of my wonderful Mother is her in a black gown with sheer neck and sleeves. It was 6o’clock in the evening, the gown was tea length, her heels were spiked and little rinestones lining the rim of the sole and heel. The belt of her gown matched and so did her handbag. Of course, the skirt of the gown was big and puffy with lots of petticoats or whatever.
Dismal I also recall her throwing one of those spiked heels at my Father later than evening. :)
Oh no. What you must watch out for is those things which will paralize your muscles. ie botox. And then there is that. If you plan to appear on tv in HD, then one would think you would consider...
Seems to me there is always a price to pay for whatever it is you want to do.
For myself, I’ve always had enough real health problems I never felt I wanted to add to them by anything elective.
I’m just very happy to still be alive. :) That’s not to say everyone should feel that way, I have a firm belief most women would not object to a little nip and tuck. :)
I would like to tell you I am most like Doris Day - but my sense of humor is more mischievious than she could have ever been.
I guess you could say I am most like Gilda Radner (but with a touch of style.) Dang, I loved her characters on SNL! (And, her book (”It’s Always Something”) was so true to her character!)
I miss her.
I think Audrey Hepburn had more class than Grace Kelly - and, Princess Di.
Most of Audrey Hepburns formative years were spent under Nazi rule. She didn’t have the nutrients necessary to develop strong bones etc. It formed her stature.
Thank God there is always mercy and the worst of disadvantages can be turned into advantages.
Do you recall which is Musolinnie’s niece? Sophia Loren or Ginia Lollobrigidia? (sp)
I’m just so sad about this entire election. I feel there is no hope and it’s like my friends told me back in 2000, it doesn’t matter, all is lost anyway. Well, I disagreed with that back then and feel we got eight years of reasonable happiness added to us. Now, I can’t protest. I have no answer nor do I have anyone to vote for. I could consider Ralph Nadar. At least he remains constant. They are all about as crazy as he is, imo, and so why not?
I suppose it was inevitable. The two wings of the same bird finally came home to roost.
At any rate, I’m leaving shortly for Europe. Yall take care and remember I wish you well.
Alessandra Mussolini is Sophia Loren's niece. She was born in 1962.
I know what you mean about voting for POTUS. I think most of us feel the same way.
Where are you heading in Europe?
I thought it was Sophia. Cary Grant was totally in love with her. Then, he went into LSD, etc. According to the gossip back then among my parents group. Kids are nosey.
He made that boat movie with Sophia and it was a total wipe out for him because he fell totally in love. OR so they said.
At least in that day and time they went nuts privately. There is alot to be said for that.
Italy. I’ll be Positano March 5th. I have no plans to return. I’ll sit this election out. If I remained, I’d have to consider voting for BARF THROW UP Hillary Clinton. I simply cannot do that. I must find myself another place to reside.
Now Miss Ringy, don’t be going wobbly on us.........
We’ve gotta pass out our ‘giggle juice’, Sharkie! I think it’s time.
If we don’t laugh - we cry. We want to hold each other up, right? (And, no smart remarks, here!) I can just imagine what you are thinking - tee hee.
It’s so good to “see” you Sharky. I wonder sometimes if my cyber family truly realize how much you mean to me.
No, I don’t intend to do any harm. I won’t be posting much because I wouldn’t want my own doubts to influence anyone. (My nails have grown entirely too long to perform well on this particular keyboard)
Sharky, the truth is I cannot support the Republican. I truly belive, and after this night, I will say no more, Hillary is as much a conservative as McCain.
I simply cannot hold my nose and vote for John McCain.
But I'm thinking about Positano...............
Positano, Italy
What a beautiful place! I envy you!
McCain was my tenth choice, or thereabouts. I'm not a great fan of his.
But to say he is the equivalent of Hillary is a bit loony.....
Like I said, let's not go wobbly sweetheart.
And let's for sure not let our sense of humor slip away.
Thanks for the reminder......
Yes. It’s worth working for and being for.
