Looks like they got exactly what they deserved.
When I was a child, some of hte older neighborhood booys used to love to taunt our German shepherd, who was kept on a chain. It drove Nicki (the dog) nuts. So one day my dad unhooked Nicki and attached him back with a small pieces of wire.
It was only a little while when these same jerks came by yelling at and stomping their feet at Nicki. On the very first lunge Nicki broke the wire and took after them. It was all butt holes and elbows with Nicki about half an inch from biting the seats of their pants off. He chased them a good 100 yards down the street and never did actually bite them. He came back looking very proud of himself and my dad and my brothers and I laughed for a ten minutes. They stopped teasing Nicki.
Now we can only hope that the zoo and zoo officials get what they deserve.
I hate it when people tease and abuse animals. I really do.It shows their character quite clearly. But would you feel the same way about this man's death if you would have been there and saw the actual killing?
As a very small boy, riding my small bike and following many larger neighborhood kids riding their bigger bikes, we were attacked by a German Shepherd who, as it turned out, had been much teased and taunted. We were passing a farm where he was the dog. As he came out to the line of bikes, by the time he got there I was the one nearest and lowest to the ground. He sunk his teeth into my calf. It makes a lasting impression.
no, they didn’t deserve this....they were stupid, irrational, impulsive....like many young men.....
funny, but these days your dad would go to jail for that.
