Don Shula, the coach of that Miami team, wants an asterisk put in the NFL record book if the Pats do go undefeated.
"The Spygate thing has diminished what they've accomplished," he said earlier this season. "You would hate to have that attached to your accomplishments. They've got it."

When Shula and the Dolphins had a perfect season, no one hated them because of it. Similarly, the Patriots are not hated because of their "wins," as many of their irrational fans like to claim, but because of their blatant cheating.
Further, the years of cheating clearly gave this piece of garbage team an unfair advantage in terms of compiling artificially high levels of "wins" and, as a direct result, attracting free agent talent which otherwise would have gone elsewhere. So, whose position on the Patriots Cheating Scandal has more credibility, Coach Shula's or Billy the Cheat's? Let's see now; to address this issue, maybe we should call to mind an unassailable proposition, with which many Patriot knuckleheads will always have to grapple:
Belichick will NEVER, EVER have a fraction of the honor, class or respect that coach Shula has earned and enjoys among virtually all NFL fans.
I agree.
I agree with Shula. They’re cheaters. They never should have given Belichick coach of the year. That should have gone to a coach who didn’t get caught cheating. What a scam. If that’s how they treat you, why not cheat? And indeed, that’s the lesson. Deliver the ratings, and cheat all you want. $$$ talks, BS walks. Welcome to “professional” sports.

I believe that 15 minutes of videoing, in the first season that it was illegal to do it, gave them no advantage for which to put an asterisk next to their record.
lol
You act as if it were like running a stale yellow light.
Plus, he dresses like a nine year old.
Bass Player kids me about the Pats frequently, because he
knows when he plays up their accomplishments this season,
I’ll quickly say “Yeah, but they cheat!” and he just as
quickly says “Everyone does.. but the Pats got caught.”
Being that both of us are from Massachusetts, and he’s a
Dallas fan (so sad) and I prefer ice hockey, the quips
usually end there.. but isn’t there always some truth
in jest?
I think that, asterisk or not.. the fans won’t forget.
What happened to a player or players congratulating someone for breaking a record????
Belichick is an adulterer and Brady is a horndog and I have no respect for their personal morals. That said, don Shula needs to get a life.
I vote for asterisk. Cheating is cheating is cheating.
Football is SERIOUS BUSINESS. XD
See. Serious Business. :D
D*mn fine post there, FReeper.
When cheating is mentioned regarding the Pat’s, the first thing that comes to mind is pig Brady and his trail of pregnant women.
On the lighter side, as long as we’re talking football, who said When I played pro football, I never set out to hurt anyone deliberately - unless it was, you know, important, like a league game or something?
