Oh—Amy Davis, the half-Japanese girl was very good too.

I was looking for something to back up a point I was going to make about "plus size" modeling. I found these ladies on accident. BUT...what kind of weirdo world do we live in that they are considered "plus size"? If they are plus size, then I want to be, too, because they are hot!

To: silent_jonny
I think they need to make ring tones from the American Idol Rejects!
You could choose from:
...letmypeoplegooooooo...
or
...take it...take it....take it...
or
I am your brother...your best friend forever...
Take your pick of
rejects here!

Hence why music today sucks - it seems the majority of music producers think that way.

THAT's considered "plus size"? Paleeze.... Good gawd, if someone isn't skin and bones, they are fat, according to hollywood...it's sad. Whatever happened to the days of voluptuous women - women with a little bit of meat on thier bones, bein' sexy?

They are still sexy, it’s just been crammed down everyone’s throats that unless you are 6 feet tall and a size 2 that you are “fat”.
There is a show on Lifetime (I think, I watch it On Demand) called How To Look Good Naked. They take regular women who hate their bodies and get them to see how beautiful they are. One of the things they do is project an image of their bodies (sans head) on the side of a building. Then they ask the people on the street what they think of the body. It’s shocking because the people are always complimentary and always so much easier on our bodies then we are.

Oh no. This is just .... baaaaaaaaaaad....
The headline is Fantasia BarriNO!
To: retrokitten
LOL--they're "plus-sized"?
Marylin Monroe was "morbidly obese", I guess :)

When gay men in the fashion world tried to make women look like other gay men: skinny and hipless.
I like curves ;)

It's almost too ugly to absorb.

Wow! Is that really Fantasia?! With gray hair and looking like she's at least 40? Fantasia was born on June 30, 1984, so (a) she's gone gray unusually early, or (b) she died her hair gray for some bizarre reason, or (c) the photo is misidentified.

Wow--that pic needed a warning, LOLLOL! It sure did, but I'm not certain the photo is of Fantasia. The woman in it looks at least 40, while Fantasia was born in June 1984.
On the other hand, Fantasia never was a raving beauty and never did know how to dress with class. Here's a photo of her from last April when she began playing the role of "Miss Celie" in "The Color Purple" on Broadway. Instead of the star of the show, she looks like a hooker who would hang around in the alley behind the theater.

In this publicity still, she has a haircut similar to the ugly gray-haired one. Is the gray-haired one a photo of a different woman mislabeled as Fantasia? Would she have changed that much in a year even though she's been in a Broadway show since last April? Or maybe 40-yr-old look is for the character in that show. What do you think?

I think she looks best with tons of make up and these pics make the point.

Hi Netizen. It's good to reconnect with you. I've missed the AI threads and the fun we have on them. Also, I've largely been off line much of the past several months, so I'm happy to now have some time to be online.
Yeah...Fantasia usually looks sleazy. Heavily airbrushed publicity shots and professionally applied makeup help her some, but not enough.
Do you think the pic with the 40-ish looking woman is really Fantasia, or do you think the pic was mislabeled? Even as unattractive as Fantasia is, she's still in her 20's.

It’s Fantasia collecting swag at the courtesy suites at the Grammy’s. Sad, but true. Check out the always classy tattoo on the boob. It’s her.
To: silent_jonny
IMO, most men do. It’s like you said, all the fashionistas tell women that we are unattractive if we have over 5% body fat. The average model is at least 5’10”, 120 pounds, and a size 2. I’m a hair under 5’11” and I’d look like a concentration camp victim at 120!
OK- stepping off my soap box now! ;-)

Its Fantasia collecting swag at the courtesy suites at the Grammys. Sad, but true.Wow. Why does she look so old? She's only 23. Do you know if she done up as her character in "The Color Purple?"

RK...I did as you asked and checked out the boob tatoo. Yep. It’s in the Grammys photo and the publicity still. I just can’t get over her gray hair and 40-something look when she’s only around 23-24 years old chronologically. I guess the “Baby Mama” whoring around she did as a teenager is catching up to her early.
