Well...I guess that was sort of progress. Kind of. He couldn’t get it to do what it was doing last night, when it wouldn’t turn off, but he did say it was worn and should be replaced. We couldn’t find the shut off, though. He seems to think the dog house is in the way, though I dunno that it’d really be there. Unfortunately it may be a matter of turning off the water at the pump. :-\ Which, I would think, will still mean some will be in the pipes to make a mess.
I tried to explain some of the other problems to him. We got as far as determining that the only working burners on the stove top (one works, one works some of the time) are the only ones that *can* work. He said there’s nowhere underneath for the other two to plug in. That part’s been cut away or removed. Fun.
Didn’t get farther than that, and didn’t get a time that he plans to come back, though I understand it won’t be until after four, and he *does* have my phone number, so there’s that.
He came early, so I just had to fend off Cisco the best I could. But maybe I could bring him over there later?
You turn on the faucets in the house once the water’s off and wait til they stop and it’s a pretty minimal problem.
Good, glad he saw the problems!
Your shut off, if you have one, is where the outside faucet is. That’s where the main line comes in. It wouldn’t surprise me if you don’t have one, this place didn’t until our handy man put one in, when he was replacing the hot water heater.
In the past, we’ve always just cut off the pump for awhile. It doesn’t take all that long to run the pressure out of it.
