Trader Joe's is DEFINITELY worth the trip! That is the only store I'm gonna miss when we move South. I've been sending suggestions to them on their website requesting them to open a store on the MS Gulf Coast. Folks at the store told me they've opened a distribution facility in Atlanta, so that's a good start!

They have great prices on stuff; not inflated specialty store prices. Their chocolate IS good, and they have a nice variety. I don't buy my bread from them much, because a lot of it is sourdough, and I don't like it. But I do like their coffee, and their crackers and snacks are made without hydrogenated oils, which I like, too. They are also the only source in this area of Coho Salmon, which is flash frozen. When grilled or broiled, it's less oily than Atlantic salmon and VEY tasty.

My brother had some whole wheat bread from them - we had it for breakfast pretty much every day I was down there, and it was wonderful. And I’m pretty picky about breads!

If they have the same bread here, I’ll probably get a few loaves to freeze. *drool*

Mmm...broiled salmon. And they had breaded tilapia (I think?) fillets that we had as sammiches that were also very tasty.

Did I mention I really should get a convection oven?
