Anybody a part of this situation?

I was contacted a while back and was told I was one of the people who’s info was sold...I’ve never had any problems though as far as I can tell.

Not that I know of.

I did get a warning that I might have been affected by that stolen Air Force identity info a year or so ago, though...

Nothin’s safe anymore. ;-)

Nope, but I just discovered my Debit card has been compromised. I should have caught it sooner, but I don’t always catch all of the transactions the Mrs. makes while traveling.

A “company” called “Savings2Go” has been taking $11.95 out of my account for several months now. Apparently their method is to take out small amounts and hope you won’t notice.

The good news is that my credit union will file the necessary dispute paperwork. The bad news is that they can’t credit my account until I cancel and replace the debit card, which takes about a week.

Yikes! We've had to get new credit cards three times in the last 6 years because of grocery or department stores having had their accounts hacked. We've only had one instance in which someone was trying to use the stolen card number, and the credit union called right away to ask if that was a legitimate purchase. $1200 worth of jewelry ordered from South Korea? I think not.

They did call once when I ordered several pairs of Birkenstocks from a company in Germany. They were hiking shoes, and were a terrific price! So when they called, I assured them that it WAS a legit purchase.
