Identical to SOCOM cept for the rails sharp edges and forward weight. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much weight forward for me. Even a standard M1A is lighter IMO. I am NOT a fan of the accessory rails at all. The only accessory on any of my EBR’s AR’s M4 Clones etc aside from optics up top is a Surefire forward vertical grip light.

I have a 6X fixed sight on the standard SOCOM and it is a snap shooting tool for sure. I like it !

It sounds nice. I'll have to give something like that serious consideration.

I'm still thinking over some sort of 7.62 NATO semiauto while waiting for the FN SCAR (two years-to-never, depending on who wins the election). I've always liked the looks of the FN FAL, but I don't know enough about it to make an informed decision. About all I know are the clones range from cheap (and probably junky) to expensive.
